Rumours (signings, sackings & other NRL stuff)

Liddle's last injury was friendly fire from Talaus leg!!!!

BSmith is a very ordinary hooker

Do you guys even watch Storm games? Great defender and would make a great lock, but his service isn't all that quick.

He has a place in our team, but I don't think it is a marquee hooker signing., Marquee lock would be OK and can be used a injury cover for hooker.

Agree that he is more of a lock.

He wants to play hooker because he probably wants spine money.

Disagree with most on here, B Smith is one of the best hookers in the game and he has proven it time and again against the aussies for the Kiwi. If he got a chance to play consistently at the position he would be top 3-4 hookers in the game. I'd dump Liddle in a heart beat for him and would sacrifice Simpkins for him as well if I had to.

In saying that, I am not sure what he is asking for but he aint worth a mill a year. 6-700K would be the absolute most I would pay him

We could probably get Widdop and McInnes from saints for b smiths asking price ?
Maybe that offers more value ?
I think McInnes is a very good hooker a bit under rated

I reckon McInnes will end up with a monster contract from someone if he leave the dragons. I doubt we would get both for the same value.

Although agree McInnes is a good Hooker

Not a chance in hell that McInnes is leaving Dragons. I'd definitely take B Smith. He's a very good hooker and given enough time to play in 9 jersey he would develop into one of the best in the game.

While it would be great to have him in our 9 jersey, I'm honestly fine with Liddle and Simpkin. They aren't world beaters but they will get the job done + have huge upside potential which is always positive. I'd rather we spend the money on a back rower

There is some f**ken dumb comments being posted here about Smith. He walks into our starting team and by mid year would easily be the best player in it.

I think it doesn’t matter what our thoughts are re B Smith as there is no way he’ll sign for us. It’s a shame, but we really need a big signing to attract bigger signings.

Why wouldn't he? Madge is his national coach, who has a good relationship with him, money prob isn't an issue and he will see, that we are starting to make changes to the team that may help us become competitive.
We are a team on the up, surely that is attractive to any player.

We are the Tigers, we are supposedly linked to everyone, but nobody comes. I hope he does, I just think history is against us. It’s just my opinion. Only time will tell I suppose, I do hope I am wrong and perhaps I have become a pessimist.
