Yep but no whingeing from the coach
As Sterling says yesterday about Hook what he liked
you will never get rant snd raved from press conferences, woe is us or throwing anyone under a bus
“nothing is as bad as it seems and nothing is as good as it looks” that’s the way Hook will show emotion to the media
On the flip side now is the time to have these short term injury issues and form slump, not mid late year
I’m just being positive as I saw positives amongst the clouds that everyone is emotional about and understandably so
i judged them on how they lose and I agree with hook there was still effort but no gas to attack and we were poor in that department and conceding errors pretty much all game which Hook did confess to.
We were lucky that the Tigers were like that also in the first 20 minutes or so which is when we should’ve taken them to the cleaners
Next week is another example.
Win when where supposed to big deal,
lose and then look like fools.
I'm not looking forward to it.
We need as many wins as we can against the not so good sides.
Because towards the end of the season when we play the big teams we aren't winning any of those.

They will he primed for the semis unlike us.

Dogs win this game.
If it were an away game maybe we’d be a chance but we just don’t play well in front of our own fans at Kogarah or even WIN as we saw yesterday.
Expecting a narrow loss to an absolutely rubbish dogs team.

I expect a loss to the Bulldogs but will be absolutely livid if we play like we did yesterday. I don't know what's going on, but I feel like the players have cashed out of whatever Hook was selling.

I'm not giving up on JDB should know this week?
I won’t go into detail as I know it’s a no no on here but to me the closing arguments looked very positive to me. I hope emotion doesn’t impact the jury too much, there appears to be plenty of reasonable doubt from what I have heard openly disclosed in the media. He’s been out 2 years though so not expecting miracles from him but I welcome him back.

Scrambling defence was the one positive to take out of that game.

Our backline dilemma is as follows:

Clune: fit.
Hunt: fit: 1 game back from injury.
Williame: injured
Ramsey: injured (tbc)
Norman: fit
Bird: fit
Sullivan: injured
Periera: suspended
Amone: fit - DS player
Mat F: fit: 1 game back from injury
Dufty: fit
Max F: fit
Ravalawa: suspended
SSE: fit - DS player
Sloan: fit - DS player
Lomax: injured

5 fully fit players ( from top 30 squad)
2 with 1 game back from serious injury
4 injured (including Ramsey)
2 suspended
3 DS players

As far as I know, and I could be way off, but to get exemption for a DS player there must no-one available from the top 30 for that position. Ie: Amone cant get exemption because we have Clune available.

SSE is our only specialist left side player available, Mat F can play left side as can Norman. So, thats 1 pkayer in below ave form, 1 player 1game back from injury and 1 player from the DS.

If we are unfortunate to cop another injury or 2 thenbwe are really going to struggle against the Storm even though Rava will be back

Expect the worst game of Rugby League you’ll ever see. You could turn down the sound on your TV and play the Benny Hill theme music over the game to get the full effect.

We put in a lot of effort which resulted in us only being beaten by 8 points. But, this was only against the Tigers who with so much ball could only score 10 points after half time.
With so much effort to keep the Tigers from scoring too many tries and the unfortunate injuries we copped to key players our attack suffered immensely with all the reshuffling of the troops.

We were too bunched in attack and second phase was non-existent due to players not wanting to call for the ball and keep running because of exhaustion. Our attack in the past 3 weeks has not been the greatest and Elliott, who I think is our attacking coach, has got to bring some workable routines to get the guys to score tries.

The Bulldogs love playing us and Barrett would know that we are desperate, like they are, to win.

It's a 50/50 call from me as to who will win this game. If we continue to make too many mistakes, miss tackles, give away too many 6 agains, not have a fair share of possession and not improve our attack then a loss is on the cards and there is a big chance we lose against the Storm the following week. That would give us 5 losses in a row which would leave us dropping down the ladder.

Come on fellas, lift and draw on everything you have to get a win.

Disagree wholeheartedly that they have cashed out on the coach
Not on what I am seeing
I am seeing a game plan that may need to be changed a bit
bit more depth in attack and
let’s talk about the referees although it works both ways are starting to let the ruck slow down again
notice how there wasn’t many six again or penalties inside the 10 yesterday
Refs are slowing the game down a bit this week across the board probably around decisions for recent media agendas and outcries about the speed and the 6 again’s
except Broncos who in part were given a huge leg up when they were down 22 nil and started to come back

I was out so I only caught the second half on the radio as I drove home.
The 3 things I seemed to hear repeatedly in the commentary in the second half were:

1. And the dragons have dropped the ball again....
2. Dragons played entire 2nd half camped in their own territory. On the rare occasion they got in to Tigers territory , refer to point 1.
3. Norman running in circles (have now seen this so many times I knew exactly what the commentators meant).

it sounded like they had a dig defensively but they just had nothing when they had the ball in hand.

It will be interesting to see what we nominate as our 18 tomorrow.

If we are able field close to what we finished the game with yesterday I hope Hook lightens the training load and concentrates on ball work and combinations.

If our halves and FB don’t fire then the Dogs will scratch out a win.

Norman is so god damned lazy I’d like him out of the team but with troop numbers so low he has to be picked.

I wonder if Hook would consider
Norman to 1
Feagai to 4 other Feagai to 2 if Williame is still out
Clune to 6 or 7 with Hunt
Dufty to 14

Burns or Fui to centre is a big no no for me.
