The Anzac Day round, and Ponga's stayed loyal to the Knights, five years and the 'hope of winning a premiership'. The easier decision could've been moving to Brisbane, with the legendary coach and the new team excitement.
Remember the last Brisbane side to take on the Broncos? Perhaps it's safer to stay in Newcastle.
Tonight, the match of the round, Sharks v Manly, both sides will aim for a top-four finish, and why not? They have the talent, experience and coaching.
The Broncos and Bulldogs are on a stand-alone Friday. Let's hope the Dogs do a 'Tigers' and snatch a win. They're down on personnal though. Covid, injuries, etc.
Saturday, another beauty, the Cowboys v Titans. I can't see much separation there, apart from the impact of JT. Will Madge and Wests party on v Souths? It would be a good story if so. There's nothing like battlers finding their mojo.
Sunday, Ponga will have a big game now he's settled and the Eels might be shaky after last week's shock. The Panthers should add to Sticky's misery but, then again, a Penrith loss might be good for them. Who wants to win every game but the one that matters?
Monday, the traditional Anzac Day games. Who gets the hometown decisions this week with the Dragons v Roosters? We close out with the Storm v Warriors. Gone are the days when we shake up Melbourne on Anzac Day, it's been over a decade surely, since we did that?
Enjoy.
