The Northern Beaches isn't the North Shore. That was why the NSWRL admitted Manly to the comp back in 1947 and it had the blessing of Norths instead of them claiming Manly were taking their territory off them like Easts did when Souths "claimed" new areas as part of their junior district.

Northern Beaches and North Shore are adjacent to one another. There is no reason one team cannot represent both regions. If RL fans from the North Shore want a team to support they can choose between Roosters and Sea Eagles. They do not need The Bears playing at NSO.

Looks like somebody doesn't know the hatred between these two clubs 😂

The NSWRL forced the nine supporter bases of the BRL clubs to amalgamate in 1988 to form the Broncos. I can tell you now that many of those supporter bases hated each other's guts and still do today. If it was good enough for us BRL fans then it's good enough for you.

I know RL fans from Sydney are whiny sooks with an entitlement complex equal to Megan Markel's and operate by the "do as we say, not as we do" motto, but this Queenslander refuses to bow down to low IQ inbred mutants who've held the game back for over 110 years with their "tribalism".

The most inbred family in the world was discovered just outside of Sydney.

Not just Brisbane. The RL communities of Newcastle, Auckland, and every other non-Sydney expansion market were expected to unite behind one team at the top tier.

Fair enough, and in many instances outside Brisbane that happened without a problem.. but the long running resistance to rationalization in Sydney, then the haphazard way it was done in the late 1990s, then the bizarre map we see now is just so frustrating.

Doesn't know much actually, he is up there in the bumpkin stakes, talks a big game, but only talks it here on the expansion threads, can't wait to see the bears get a license, purely to rub it in to this MERKIN

Allowing any home games in Sydney will doom the whole Perth Bears idea. There’s a reason why the Swans went the whole hog in Sydney in terms of home games and only maintained a merchandising and away memberships office in Victoria. The Bears will white ant the whole WA operation and slowly push more and more home games back to Sydney if they get the sense Sydney games are allowed. They should have been finished off as a potential first grade team decades ago and we should be discussing a wholly WA-owned Pirates/Reds team.
Thats ok

You can play one of those games on the Central Coast

This was not the case any you know it

For a number of years BRL clubs couldnt match it Sydney clubs in the Midweek Cup

Only when a combined team was pitted against a Sydney club could Brisbane hold their own

This then evolved into the Broncos a few years later

He is talking about supporters rather than the competitiveness of BRL clubs vis-a-vis that of the Sydney competition. Completely different point

Sydney RL fans have an entitlement complex and are parasitic. Their success has been built on pillaging everyone else to cover their own inadequacies, whether it be through talent acquisition from other cities and regions or pokie machine revenue from gamblers to prop up their unprofitable football clubs.

Because the modern venues cant handle multiple tennents on weekends
Which is why all 12 home games for a Perth-based Bears should be played in Perth. There's already too many games in Sydney and only an idiot would suggest adding to the tally.
NSW tax payers wouldnt careless

In fact it would be seen as a sign to work on future NSO ground upgrades
You want NSO upgraded for a poultry 2 or 4 games per annum?

What the f**k are you talking about?

The NSWRL used pokie machine revenue to poach the best players from the BRL clubs. Gaming machines weren't legalised in Queensland until the 1990s. Now that the BRL clubs have access to pokies we've got a few that are stronger than many NSWRL clubs.

That's right.

Siv's right, BRL comp clubs weren't competitive against nswrl clubs, regardless of pokie income, a few players made their way south, but the way the grot carrys on about it, made it sound like it was an exodus, far from it..

Sydney need to return to more games on Sunday afternoon

Not just bottom of the table clash's when fans have given up on the season

Fans are fed up with 1 NZ and 1 other game on Sunday. We used to 5 games on Sunday with 3 grades

Not to mention all of those stupid ThuNF and Fri 6pm games which are crowd killers

My 22y son just complained he cant go the game this weekend because of 5 I repeat 5 things that suddenly appear on game day

Work, junior refereeing, 18th family gathering, concert and 21st party and then throw in train strike or trackwork to make travel even harder

So he ends up watch the game on Kayo on his phone and you guys bitch about fans not tyrning up
