One of the problems is that we have scraped into the top four a couple of times when we haven’t deserved to (according to points differential). What this means is that we have lost in week one where we were more likely to win against an opponent ranked 5th to 8th. Three extra wins and we would’ve been five from nine.

I'm interested in your thoughts on if/when we should punt BA. At what point would you think "this merkin has to go..."? Bundled out this year? Next year? 2024? I assume it would also depend on available alternatives but keen to hear what you think.

Not at all a knock on you, Avenger, for posting it, but that is the single most pointless article I’ve ever read on rugby league, and I’ve read plenty of ordinary ones on The Roar and elsewhere.

Literally just says “the Eels haven’t won a premiership for a long time, BA has been coach for a while, they’ll want to win it this year because, if they don’t, players are leaving and they won’t get a better shot”. Nothing about why the team comes up short in finals, why Arthur might not be clicking, etc. Less insightful than Buzz or Hoops.
