Coming from someone who's said he doesn't care if there's evidence for masks because wearing one makes you feel better that's pretty rich.

I spent all last week having to wear one at Westmead Hospital not knowing if my dad was going to survive till Christmas day.
What is your problem with wearing masks?
And yes, wearing one did make me feel better.

It's funny as f**k how all these folk suddenly discover the west is propped up by exploitation of the global south, like it's something new, because you know renewables bad or some shit, all of a sudden they care.

I mean it's not like this shit hasn't been going on and propping up our wealth for f**king centuries, and far worse shit than chucking some kiddies in a hole.

I think it’s reasonable to question whether the supply chain for renewables is sustainable. Plenty of smart investors are.

People can try and use this as an argument to continue with fossil fuels but there is too much momentum. Thermal coal is being progressively phased out whether people like it or not.

Developed countries like Australia with an abundance of critical minerals have an opportunity to make renewables more sustainable. It also reduces a significant sovereign risk given the world’s reliance on China.

Problem is that there are a bunch of NIMBY’s and activists in Australia that will oppose any kind of development, including environmentally sound and responsible projects.

If I have to wear one as per hospital regulations, I will. And yes, if I think it is going to protect my dad, why wouldn't I? He was actually considered a close contact to Covid before his operation.

Are you telling me that if your dad's life was on the line you wouldn't go and see him because you were required to wear a mask? I'm not playing games here, I'm just asking a serious question.

As I said, I've had a shite week not knowing if my dad was going to be alive yesterday on Christmas Day. He nearly died on the operating table. The surgeon told us that. If you want to make light of that and use it for your political agendas, so be it.

My personal opinion is we go down path of population control. Why do we need so many of us merkins? Let's bring it down from 8 billion to about 4 over the next 50yrs. That's got to help.

And perhaps people take some ownership themself. Keep in mind your curious little brains that want to be entertained means your making a higher carbon footprint. Travel less, walk more. Stop traveling overseas every year, buying new gadgets, wasting power. Use a fan when can not air con. Don't waste food. Keep the same lounge and furniture most your life. Don't get new clothes every year. Do you need a new car all the time? Should get 20yrs from a car.

Oh but we want to be entertained.

I mentioned masks because they don't work to stop viruses, but even knowing that you like them because they make you feel better. That's just ridiculous.

I'd be open to hearing your thoughts on it all or how to control it.
As I said we need to as individuals take ownership rather then just blame governments or think we are angels cause we do t use a plastic bag anymore.
