Hook would be my guess, but they extended the contract.

I think Holbrooke has this year and the next year left so he'll want a good start.

Of course O'Brien will be in the mix

That counts for almost nothing these days.

In fact its almost always a sign the coach is gone soon.

Paul Green, Neil Henry and Michael McGuire all signed contract extensions in the last 5 years, only to be sacked shortly there after

AOB would have to be one of the short priced favourites. I cannot imagine he's got a leash long enough to survive a bad opening 8-10 weeks

Johns Brothers love him and got him appointed.

Newcastle do nothing without the approval of Johns Brothers Inc.

Newcastle have the easiest start to the season out of all 17 clubs

Warriors, Tigers, Dolphins, Raiders, Sea Eagles, Warriors

Could easily be 6-0 and all pressure will be off O'Brien, but if they don't start well rightfully so he will cop it.

And parachute Andre in as head coach.

Probably going a bit far to make Andre coach.

He will however chair the selection committee and get a paragraph dedicated to him in the press release on eventual hire.
