The first round with a new coach! Twelve weeks, that's not bad.

Tonight should be a beauty Brisbane host Penrith. Although with Reynolds out this one might not be as close as it could be.

Friday, will the Dragons get a new coach bounce against Easts? There's Roosters fans not happy with their coach too, but he won't be going anywhere this year. My Eels source is blaming injuries for their poor results and, on form, the Rabbitohs will add to their misery.

Saturday, the Sharks and Knights will be hard to pick and maybe Wests will repay their weeping fans with another, rare, win? The Cowboys look good though. A Dolphins over Storm upset would cap the night off well.

Sunday, it's Canterbury v Gold Coast at the canaverous Olympic Stadium and I wonder how many fans will show? We finish with a nice one, the Raiders host Manly. Two sides whose fortunes have flipped of late. Sticky is always tense but Seibold will definitely conjure up a sweat in the Canberra cold too.

It's the last round of fresh air before Origin.

Enjoy.

Big game here, I still haven’t seen anything from Brisbane that suggests they are the real deal, outside of round 1 they haven’t gotten over any heavyweights

Fatty blowing up about the “unnecessary forceful contact to the ribs” penalty, not sure I’ve ever seen that penalised

Agree, even though I don't like the tackle 3rd man in to a player held up to do nothing but try to hurt the player hitting them in the back, as what else is it achieving? They aren't stopping them moving forward or taking them to the ground?

But it by current rules (from my understanding) is not a penalty.

I also hate the second movement with the shoulder into the player when players are on the ground. But it's not illegal it it doesn't hit the head.

Bunker missed Panthers 3 kick to Walsh after his knock on? Also not sure that wasn't a try by Panthers in that situation?

Ref just correct bunker saying "it doesn't look right to me." On Walsh jumping to take out Peachy before try scored. After bunker was going to clear it.

15-4, Panthers. Final.

While it could've been 45-4 all those Panthers missteps just shows anyone could be in with a shot of beating them in this year's finals.

Bunker MoM overturning 5 tries

Panthers dominating in 1st half but not scoring. Broncos with a couple of tries overturned in the 2nd half - all correct decisions from the look of it.

Broncos coming back down to the pack after leading the comp early

They will be fired up against the Warriors next week even without some Origin stars

Walsh is now getting a post-match highlights run even though his side was well beaten.

Luai put his hands on the touch judge, interesting decision coming up, guaranteed suspension 20 years go (Ridgey) but who knows now

Fine for Luai, probably the right result. the sleeve of the refs jersey looks similar to the bronco sleeve so I think he made a right royal cock up before he realised who it was haha

So top clubs shown no leniency?
Radley pulls out a headbut and gets nothing other than on report!
Minimum 10 in bin, lower clubs get them sent off for the game

Some dark clouds must be looming over Robinson, that roster is probably the best and deepest in the comp…

I’m starting to think those two losses to the chooks are the ones we’ll regret at the end of the season. They’re a very beatable side this year despite the rosters quality on paper
