Sack Flanagan

Sorry,
Which was

Flanagan, whilst we would like more wins, he has instigated programs not only in the football department but beyond that, which are (indirect quote) "second to none" I believe the CEO stated.

Thus, my comment yesterday regarding focusing on wins only being myopic, and the plus column having more entries than the negative.

So, hypothetically, Flano is sacked and we get a replacement.
Are you also only giving them the same 2 years before asking for another replacement?

Genuine question.

Not having a go.
Yep I think two full seasons is enough time to get the team a top 8 finish. I have waxed lyrical on a coach at the club needing support systems in place such a head of recruitment, GM of football and pathways etc to go with.

Oh wow, great insight and great to know the football department is top notch now.

Does that mean we can look forward to some good quality signings soon?
Or does it mean on field results will improve?

Exactly, it’s a process. Sharks has a few dismal years under Flanagan, then when the sprouts started to shoot he had a 64% win rate between 2016-2018. Sharks have been there or there abouts since. They were able to keep in the fight because recruiting on a winning team is way easier.
The thing that is hindering him short-term is the treatment of Ilias vs Kyle. I think with Illias we may have won a few more games due to field position off his marginally better boot. (Yes I know he’s not kicking in reserve grade, but that’s because he’s a right foot kicker playing on the left, not because glover is a better kicker)

The narrow minded simpletons cannot see the growth and development, that’s fine, I’m sure their hearts are in the right spot.
I’m buoyed by what I’m seeing, a team out of luck, down on troops, pushing top 4 teams to the 80th minute.
Sure, very disappointed that the season has gotten away from us but if we keep playing with the intensity we are, then the wins will come and we will be so much better for it next year.
A couple of off season signings and this place will be buzzing again.
Sack Flanigan? lol, grow up and look a little deeper.

You claimed after Griffin was sacked that a new coach would have an immediate impact on results.

Now here we are three years later and you're talking nonsense about 'growth and development' and that you're bouyed by constant losing.

You're the biggest simpleton on the forum and btw did you forget this is LU or not JA again or?

I think the biggest blunder we made in recruitment was signing Cook we could easily move Klye to that 14 role next year with LKT, Illias & Atkinson fighting it out in the halves we could then bring Douehi in as an extra half on the cheap until this marquee one comes available.

Flanagan is our only hope ever since he took over the club is heading in the right direction securing our younger talent.

I day give Flanagan new assistant coaches. Let go, Young and Carr, and hire the Walker Brosthers in their place. Start with a 1-year deal with an option for a further two years in the club's favour.

Where’s the blooding of more youth in todays selections for Fridays game?
No LPT again (head and shoulders best forward in NSW Cup lately), no Tsougainis but Matty Slowguy back in again.
Allen not dropped despite the embarrassing miss last weekend
It reeks of extreme stubborness
He’s turning into the coaching equivalent of Grumpy Cat 2.0 at this rate
Try a few tweaks with season basically done? Nahhh the regular narrow-losses squad will do….

Yep the right direction
11th last year and will probably get 15th or 16th this year as apart from maybe this weekend we will not win another game this year
😂😂😂
Please wake up
Griffin got 10th in his second year and was sacked
If we keep him here it will just be another shit year guaranteed
Some of you Flano fans will finally wake up and some will just keep pouring out excuses for him like this year.
Our results are where we are at and in the end the board will decide how quickly we want things turned around.

Just on Griffin, funny interview on triple M with Aaron Woods talking about coach sprays. He confirmed that Hook favoured Hunt, McCulloch, McGuire, all the qld planks he brought down.
Said one day McGuire got penalised for not clearing the ruck or something and Hook thought it was Woods fault and gave him an almighty spray. Woods chirped back “not my fault your son can’t tackle”.
The following week Woods was dropped to reserve grade.
Hook never actually had a legitimate son playing for us but the way he gave jobs to his mates from QLD was disgraceful. And the sooking from Hunt following his sacking was deplorable.
They were dark days, now we may not be showing it on the ladder just now but it’s a much brighter time to be a dragons fan IMO

Thanks for your post, I thought JA was way better than this forum but you seem to not be able to let go of your imaginary friends in here?

It would be funny if worse wasn't happening now.

Flanagan's actual son plays for the team and is first picked in the halves each and every week, he was one of the first players he signed.
He plays favourites with many other players too.

Have you got anything tangible to suggest it's a brighter time? How's the win loss ratio looking? How's the ladder looking?

All most Flanagan defenders can talk about is non tangible buzz words like 'growth', ' development' and any other crap you'd like to spew out, none of it counts for anything and Flanagan's going to wind up being sacked sorry champ 😂

Woods has also told a story that on the day of the captains run, Griffin was always more interested in the BBQ than how the players were training. He was also too gutless to tell Woods that we was swapping him for 2 Manly reserve graders. Still makes my blood boil the wasted time under that clown and how far those 3 years set the club back.
