Barrett has more scope to put a stamp on things with selection.

I have a feeling we may see Joey Lussick dropped this week after being hooked after 35 mins.

Plus the sharks may still be rattled after the thumping Penrith gave them.

While I admire everyone wanting Boods, it does tell me you haven't seen him live or up close.

He is still learning to play against men and needs to get through this season and an off season.

Actually there was an article about he decided not to pay $4k for a surgery opting for it to heal by itself.... doesnt the club pay for injuries via their med insurance?

Don't get me wrong he is the future, a smart crafty dummy half.

But the difference is Blaize is a back and Boods is in the forward pack, Blaize still needs some bulk going forward but can rely on his skill for the rest of this year at least.

Fair enough. From what I gather, I hope he is similar to Harry.

We dont really have another rake backup besides Hopgood so then Lussick has to be in.

I said a long time ago Guth would make a good hooker replacement. He has all the skills, it's just whether his body can handle it.

But then most hookers play for a long time, Cam Smith, McChollough and I'm sure alot more : maybe Api, Ennis, et al.

Well we wanted a full time Hooker not a fill in like BH,

I was looking at the timing around signings yesterday. We let Joey go in September 2021, and the Reed announced he was leaving in November (from what I heard for the same amount of money but he would be closer to where he was living in Canturbury)

We signed Hodgson December 2021, and I take it he was supposed to be the option for 2023 - 2024 and then yeah we would transition to Boods or someone else. But Hodgson was signed to play firsts and mentor young kids (my guess is we couldn't handle the dribble coming out of Ennis's mouth)

Hodgson Medically retires (But stays at the club and if you are around Junior Reps you will see him working with teams) in June or July and we Resign Joey because he "knew the system" in July and he arrives in time for the Storm game

But from then Joey is off the Bench in that game and we get spanked in our last game without Dyl.

We win against the Dragons then get spanked again with him at starting hooker but after Mitch gets his Jaw broken in the Broncos Game. We can say Mitch was off for the last 40 but had his jaw broken for the last 5 or 10 minutes of that half when we conceded the bulk of the tries

We put in a great performance with him at Hooker against the Panthers, but that the entire team being up to show everyone we were still someone in the comp even if we wouldn't play finals.

This year well we all know how that is going.

I think BA wanted his pet project Kelma in the team and couldn't afford to carry an extra hooker even though our hooker wasnt really an 80 min player.

He probably wanted 3 middles as well Jnr, Matto and Moretti et al

So Hands had to go.

I also wonder if Hands said something to BA as he seemed on the outer. If he was our genuine backup hooker if say Lussick went down, it was crazy that he hardly played hooker in reggies.
