Wow woke up hoping the Panthers would beat the whipping the Storm put on us but they outright lost. Incredible. I’m pretty sure this would have to be pretty close to one of the biggest upsets in NRL history.

Roosters been building these young players in their system for a few years, paid dividends when they called them up. Our juniors are coming through, need to get them exposed in senior games and see them do similar.

We have 2! They just hadn't played enough senior games before getting thrown into first grade..

Tonight in both games the young powerful forwards were instrumental...
Not the plodders..Young powerful agile no fear forwards.
Roosters had Lindsay Collins, Leniu, radley, butcher bros all out..that's a whole starting pack....the young blokes came in and unleashed

BA was getting ready to unleash all our juniors in 2029
Players who debuted aged 21 or younger:

Moeroa
Pauli
Folau
French
Kaufusi
Mahoney
Salmon
Stone
Drown
Parry
Dunster
Utoikamanu
Arthur
Loizou
Penisini
Russell
Miller-Stephen
Guymer
Sanders
Talagi

You might say they were all shit, but the coach can only pick from the players he has available. It also shows that just because a player is young, doesn't mean he will be any good. It doesn't even mean he will become a first grader.

Does anyone else get Brian Smith vibes with Anthony Seibold.

Very good tactically but I reckon severely lacking in management skills and reflects Manly style of play very hap hazard similar to his up and down personality.

Which is probably stopping them from being a genuine contender.

I'm sure Guymer debuted after supercoach got punted.
Let's be clear no player is shit that makes first grade. That's an excellent achievement. Some become shit later.
The sad reality is no where near enough young ones were promoted during his tenure...he had a preference to play older, sometimes over the hill or never was or has beens. Very conservative coach who in the end won sweet FA...good on him but he's ydays news and a massive part of the reason why we are having to put a broom through the place in particular that ageing forward roster who coincidentally are all on stupid money...
He should've been punted at the end of 23 but realistically when we won the spoon in 18...bad decisions all round

Hate to say it but credit to the Roosters, their young players weren’t intimidated and gave it to the Panthers.
The high kick from Townsend to Dom Young was great tactic and they held on with 12 men at the end.
Hopefully we bounce back like they did from their whipping.
