I'm lamenting the fact that those houses are no longer occupied by battlers, rather, they are occupied by millionaires who are imported here to prop up an economy that no Australian pollie can seem to fix in any other way, while they wait for their Mcmansion to be built out Rivo or a flat in some as yet incomplete monstrosity and the strain those policies have placed on the conditions of living in this country.

If I wasn't witnessing it with my own eyes, I'd think it was the plot for a f**king horror movie.

Oh well, life goes on. There's a cashed up international family who are more than happy to share that space with the rest of the cashed up family who managed to get here. It really is a win /win for Australia. f**k Granny. She can eat dahl if her deglutition function is still working.
Wake up merkins. If your cheering for either of the 2 major political parties in this country, then you are cheering for outcomes like this.
The things that aren't happening in most of your suburbs yet are on the way. You won't be happy about it when it gets there.
You'll be happy initially. A few good curry houses with competitive pricing is great isn't it?
It is until you can longer purchase an Aussie hamburger with the lot, a decent kebab, a bbq chook, a decent Italian pizza, do business with a realtor who is not pro f**k you and the list goes on.
Woolies in Pendle hill has closed as there is not enough patronage for it to continue to open the doors. Normally I'd be excited about the failure of a multinational but what about the poor grannies of the area?
Anyway, who f**king cares right? It's much more important that the political parties we treat like a sporting team are in power. Right?
A bit of a rant yeah but some of you hardcore Labor v LNP merkins are absolutely disgusting. Wake up to your f**king selves before its too late!

Ok, I get you. I guess money talks - home grown or imported - everywhere in the capitalist system... whether it's getting to the top of immigration queues or squeezing the affordability of the housing market.

Anyhow what's going to sway my vote is the future plan for this country not trying to buy votes for 5 or 6 bucks..

If we knew now that Howard would have f**ked up housing in 1999 with his policies I doubt he would have been elected.

What does it say ? That Australians don’t want to do blue collar jobs ? Or they don’t need to ?
A usual Gronk post I have 3 grandsons that have all come out of plumbing and building apprenticeships, and not to upset your cheer squad for Albo, they want the petrol discount as they travel all over Sydney and to Wollongong and Newcastle, not the derisory $5 a week in 18 months that Albo and Gomer Pyle are trying to bribe the electorate with.

Inhave no idea what you are talking about. The conversation is about something entirely different.

I'm not arguing either way, but 3 people is a small sample size and a lot of people catch the train to work

The government has legislated to cut the lowest tax rate — which applies to income between $18,201 and $45,000 — by one percentage point in the middle of next year, making it 15 per cent, and another percentage point a year after that, ultimately bringing it down to 14 per cent.

Because of the way Australia's tax system is structured, those savings will flow through even if you earn well above the $45,000 threshold, meaning every worker will pay less tax under the changes.

For a worker earning $45,000 or more a year, the value of the cut will be $268 in the first year and $536 in the following years. The savings are smaller for people under that threshold: people earning $30,000 a year will only get $118 in year one and $236 after that.

Dutton’s fuel relief will be good, but it’s only going to be for 12 months and then it’s going to hit families like a sledge hammer.

I still have a problem with handouts that are not targeted. There are people like me who dont need discounts at the bowser. There are people who pay high rents, need help but can’t afford to own a car on top of all that. They miss out. I know not everyone can get benefit, but you are throwing unnecessary cash at so many who don’t need it and some low income earners are missing out.

Anyway your guy Dutton is clear fav, so all this is moot.
