Good news in the Juniors pathways.

Both the SG Ball and HM sides had victories over their Penrith counterparts.

The now 6th placed HM side won 26-22 while the SG Ball side (currently 2nd) smashed Penrith to the tune of 52-8.

Both sides take on the Wahs next Sunday who are currently 3rd in HM and 12th in SG Ball.

Rabbitohs to Face Panthers, Warriors and Raiders in Pathways This Weekend​

Redfern Oval will play host to five pathways games over two days this weekend as the junior representative regular seasons move into their final fortnight of matches.

On Saturday 29 March, the Rabbitohs will play the Penrith Panthers in the NSW Cup men’s round four match at 3pm, with the Jersey Flegg Cup under 21s men’s game between South Sydney and the Panthers to be played at 1pm.

On Sunday 30 March, the SG Ball Cup under 19s men’s team will play the Warriors in round eight at Redfern Oval at 11am, followed by the Lisa Fiaola Cup under 17s girls’ team taking on the Canberra Raiders at 1pm, and the Tarsha Gale Cup under 19s women’s team playing the Raiders at 2:30pm.

The Rabbitohs’ Harold Matthews Cup under 17s boys’ team will play the Warriors away from home on Sunday 30 March at 11am NZT (9am AEDST) at Navigation Home Stadium in Pukekohe, New Zealand.

JF boys have just gone down in a close one against the Panthers at Redfern today, 26-30. They lost their starting fullback after 58 seconds and winger Haizyn Mellars returning from injury was replaced right on halftime - no idea why as yet. The Panthers led throughout but the Bunnies fought hard to keep in touch and ran out of time in the end. It was 5 tries apiece but goal kicking proved the difference.

Totally agree with you. I see nothing substantial at all in any game I’ve seen that Taua has played. Very over hyped. Lacks strength and size. Doesn’t hit the line hard and isn’t strong on the defensive side either

i heard they had this english fella doing our recruiting theyve apparantly sacked him.

But most of the sg ball team that he has recruited are doing good.

So whoever, was doing it before him should have been shot.

Moreover, they need to incorporate the roosters recruitment strategy, where they house the players coming from country, nz and qld into a building which they have been doing for years even when i was playing. This gives the players a sense of loyalty cause of how much extra the roosters will do for the recruits to look after them.

they give these young players more training and etc and are in a elite development program.


when i was coming up through the grades, they had a house in bondi, at the time.

Sia Solialia, Anthony Tupou, Richie Fassoo, Ben Hannant were living in this share house. I would go hang out there the boys were older when i was playing up a couple grades.
