This is from the 1971 Christmas TOTP. The Beeb habitually wiped the tapes throughout the rest of these years, but they did retain the Christmas specials of 1971-75.

I was weaned on TOTP in the late 60s/early 70s. Usually had my eye on the audience more than the artists. Unless it was Suzi Quatro.

Re the difficult subject you've alluded to -

I hadn't seen the movie in a long while. Assumed it would never be broadcast again on mainstream TV. Last year, one of our terrestrial channels laid on an evening of Abba-themed programmes to mark the 50th anniversary of the Eurovision win in Brighton. Documentaries, testimonials, etc. Rounded off by Abba the Movie. Shown apparently with no qualms.

The song is majestic and a great example of the song writing capabilities of Benny and Bjorn then letting the girls bring it all together vocally.

Was watching a South Australian travel show and in the segment this played in the back ground, it was one of those songs that i remembered somewhere in the back of my mind but couldn't tell you off the top of my head the name of the song or group who sung it, i had to look it on you tube. I find the synth keyboard haunting.
