Mainly because of his long kicking game we and game awareness we won't be in poor positions to give away dumb penalties and dropping the ball.

But I agree in a way the other players need to lift their game instead of hoping for Moses to do something
Dude, we drop it before Moses can kick long. We give away penalties on the first set. Moses can't prevent that.

The only plus is if he can lift the guys up, communicate and he's a better defender than Hawkins

I agree with you ..

Though I'll say with Moses we have one of the best long kicking games in the competition if gives our defence time which prevents stupid penalties and then we are not throwing dumb passes in attack or coming out of our own 20 trying to make up meters.

There is always cause and effect.

Anasta keeps on swinging
Fox Sports host Braith Anasta has chosen an unusual time to try and pick fights with a host of people at the Nine network.

Anasta said on a podcast he wanted to fight this columnist. He also had a verbal crack at most of Nine’s league commentators and experts.

A desire to take a physical approach is an interesting one, given the cultural issues at Fox. It is even more interesting given his new bosses from DAZN have been in town to look at the network they have purchased.

As we revealed three weeks ago, DAZN chief Shay Segev was taken to the Rabbitohs-Roosters clash earlier this month by Fox’s top brass. He was also taken to the AFL, where Aussie rules great Nathan Buckley explained the game to him.

As that was going on, Anasta was saying he wanted to belt a journalist and also bagged people at Nine.

It appears the pressure is getting to Anasta as he struggles to balance his role as a prominent player agent and a commentator. His bumbling was so bad that he dropped the “f” word on live TV this week after he stuffed up an introduction. That didn’t stop him getting stuck into a fellow player agent without declaring his possible conflict of interest.

Perhaps the presence of former host, the well-respected and conflict-free Ben Ikin, on the show rattled him.

Whatever the case, wanting to bash people and abusing them in text messages is not smart. Some of the messages – voice and text – are damaging for Anasta.

Fox is still reeling internally over the Paul Kent issue, which led to his departure from the network. Kent drank 21 schooners and ended up in a street fight, which led to him being tossed into a tree.

The concern for Fox is it was clear to everyone that Kent needed help given a number of stressful situations in his life and the pressure of being in the public eye.

If anything was done to assist Kent, it didn’t work.

Also on Anasta’s NRL 360 show and podcast is Fox’s troubled chief league reporter James Hooper, who went to Vegas and disappeared without filing a story or making an appearance on the network that pays his wage.

The smart approach from Anasta would be to keep his head down instead of saying he wants to bash people about 15 years older than him.

This columnist is definitely not Mike Tyson, but I’m not so sure that Anasta doesn’t think he is Jake Paul.

Anasta had his chance for a street fight when Latrell Mitchellcalled him out at a Surry Hills restaurant after consistent criticism of the Souths superstar.

Anasta has not been featuring in this column recently, so maybe he missed seeing his name in print.

He’s in denial about the core issue that we have brought up previously – his role as a player agent and a television host is a potential conflict that many players’ agents are not happy about.

To try to dismiss the criticism, Anasta chose instead to attack the Nine network and its highest-profile figure Phil Gould in a podcast, calling him out because of his dual roles as a TV expert and the boss of the Bulldogs. None of this was new.

He then tried to attack the likes of Paul Gallen, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and even Andrew Johns but barely laid a verbal glove on them.

It was not a well-considered or well-thought-out rant, but it has been noted by some of the people who he thinks are his mates.

Galvin's never landing at Parra... I think people are dreaming just because he was once a local junior, but that means nothing. Wasn't Sterlo was a Souths or Manly fan originally as a kid in Wagga? And Cronin didn't care for Sydney things in general?

You just end up where you end up as a player. There are so many more attractive destinations for Galvin, either in 2027 after he's finished his next two seasons of NSW Cup, or earlier if granted a release or swap.
Sometimes some people shouldn’t make any comments and leave it to others

Now you’re backtracking and slipping on your humble pie.
Not really. I still believe there would be more attractive destinations than the Eels for Galvin.

I'm comfortable offering him a three year deal for $700K, from 2027-2029 (age 24). But probably not a cent more yet, until he's in the mix for rep footy (origin). If he's released earlier from Magpies Cup than for start of 2027, then so be it.

I actually wouldn't be going all out paying through the nose to sign the kid, tbh. We have other pressing needs in other positions, 1x centre and 2x edge forwards.
How do you know what are we paying for the kid.

The tigers decided to turn this into a PR Battle offering him a $1mill a year.

With Richo & Benji's egos they couldn't help themselves. It was all about the PR battle.

Have you thought to consider he just wants out at any cost with the toxic environment over there created by Luai, Turuva and a few others.

For a bunch of senior players that demanded Benji drop the kid they certainly stood up against the worst team in the comp when the coach needed them.

Did you find it a coincidence Russell found a backbone today and niggled Turuva all game. Its the best thing Russell has done his whole career.

Our club grew a leg today and looks set to add a handy addition by the sounds of it.

Never claimed I knew what we are (not) offering Galvin (until 1 Nov, when it is legal to approach).

I posted what I wouldn't do, and what I wouldn't pay.

Tigers gave us a pasting earlier in the year and we wanted one back on them. I put all that down to the return of Moses tbh, more than anything else or anything potentially Galvin related.
