Definitely an improvement for the tigers and at a cheap price.
Also there’s been a few reports today suggesting that the new Penrith ground will have a capacity of 30k for sporting events.
30k is for concerts, with patrons on the grass. Not sure what acts would play Penrith, but that’s the theory.

Looks like minimal corporate. How will they make enough money playing here?

Their allocation this year is 4 Campbelltown, 3 Leichhardt, 3 CommBank & 1 Allianz. The Allianz game came out of their Leichhardt allocation I believe for Eora round. They’ve also used Stadium Australia at times but not this year. So it definitely seems they’re ‘trialing’ CommBank and to a lesser extent Allianz.

With any luck Campbelltown gets that 25k upgrade for most of their games (7-9), 2-3 big games at Allianz (Easter Monday @ Accor) and use Leichhardt like Dogs use Belmore, a game or two every year plus some trials.

It’s the same main stand as now. All it’s getting is new plastic seats to replace the old ones and that end stand. Richo was bemoaning lack of corporate facilities and this doesn't change that.

You listed four "home grounds". On Easter Monday, the Tigers played a "home" game against Parramatta at Parramatta. Would the result be different if it was at Campbelltown?

No surprise that the Tigers have collected the wooden spoon in the last three years. They don't have a home ground.

With Campbelltown, the COE is going ahead on the northern side of the ground. But it also needs a new western grandstand with corporates, a second tier with a roof on the eastern side, and replace the southern hill with uncovered seating, an open end just like Townsville stadium.

Instead of that ugly plan for Leichardt they should put the money into fixing one end of Stadium australia. Make one end steep, close and awesome.

It kinda does improve the corporate facilities if you look at the renderers

That food outlet is just a bit better than the current one under that stand

That main stand actually looks good

This article says capacity will only be 25k so less than previously stated
The stand might look good, but it looks as though all the undercover grandstand seating is corporate despite all the assurances it would accommodate all previous western stand season ticket holders.

It should’ve been another commbank

But Penrith stadium had poor corporate facilities

Reality is clubs make way more money from corporates so at least that bit is on par with commbank

Capacity is too small anyway

With their recent success and population growth it should’ve been 30 to 35k

I’m sure existing members will be looked after though

Im guessing its set up to add to end stands at a later date which can be 3500--5000 capacity each? Shame NSW govt is being so tight and not doing it properly.

.

The women's league can't play in big stadiums right now. There's just not the support for it. Why can't they play in these nicer suburban grounds that have facilities designed for them? I'd imagine the change rooms at Leichhardt oval right now are horrible for womens teams.
