Cobbo is a massive talent with potential GI ability.

However, I'd say no to him at a big price. I could absolutely see homesick and other issues down the line.
I also think his weight is a problem, especially if it gets worse. He has a lazy look about him similar to Mitchell.

I could not agree more. I really wish him all the best and hope he reaches his potential. But, I can certainly see cracks in the wall with him. I agree with you in that he does not look 100% fit. No thanks!

In saying all of this though, I would think the Dolphins or Gold Coast would be right in the box seat if either chose to make a good offer. Clubs souths of the border should take caution though.

Benji talked about Jahream Bula's effort in preseason torture camp where he volunteered to represent the team in doing the final challenge. Benji said it's Bula's resilience as to why they signed him long term. (referring to his current contract and not a new extension....that will be our next battle with Moses)
I think Faataape was going to play instead of Naden but he had to go to a funeral.

It is a shame that Naden has not grabbed his opportunities over the last two weeks. I think we need to let him go when his contract expires.

I was thinking Dolphins as well. The team that offers him his preferred fullback spot will get the chocolates so ousting The Hammer is a tall order and Brimson seems set to be in the halves so GC could be it.
Selwyn won't want to leave Qld.

He certainly looked restricted with what looked to be a strapped injured knee. I feel he's at the end of his career.

It will be interesting to see where it all goes.

If it truly is a move for the fullback spot, it won't be an easy task for him to get a club. Personally, I think his best spot is where he is.....on the wing. He does tend to drift out of games there though.

I think staying in QLD will be a bigger priority than playing fullback. It is a possibility that he plays fb at the Dolphins but I think it is better for them to have the Hammer remain there. As for the GC, there are some question marks over Kini's future with his serious injury. Kini is good but it is more likely Cobbo gets a fb shot there than at the Dolphins.

As much as the talk is that he'll play for an NSW club, I personally don't believe it if a QLD club gives him a good offer.

Agree. If Cobbo trimmed down a bit and got a metre quicker I'd grab him but where would we put him with our current line up. Skelton and Turuva and Staines are our wingers, Bula fullback, possibly To'a and Makasini our centres????

I'd make our backrow stock more of a priority.

Yeah maybe, but he can negotiate at the end of this season, so it was a strange comment to make now, imo.

If Moses agitated a release for Bula then the cash strapped Broncos could swap Cobbo for Bula. I hate the thought though.

I think transfer window needs to be in the final year of contracts to prevent managers agitating clubs to release players early. Fans deserve better.
To be talking about losing players a year early destabilises clubs and upsets fans.
Maybe a good time is the SOO period.

He has a genuine religious conviction and not a hypocritical one. I think loyalty is something that drives him.
I read somewhere, that he has a mutual option with the club to take up a $900k contract for next year, so that helps. Just not sure if that is for next year only, and would no doubt be extended if required.

That's crazy money. It's the trend now hey.
Imagine buying a house outright in one year. The second year you buy an investment property and so on. After footy they shouldn't have to work with all that rent coming in....bloody he'll.
