Somewhat true but he was always moved around between left and right, was also on the wing a fair bit.

I think not retaining Chrichton is the only genuine error the Panthers have made in all of their player losses. I think he moved for 800k while the Panthers signed Tago for 750k months later. The rest of the losses were pretty much unavoidable.

Some people just cant compute that players arent even close to done developing at 19/20, most will still be learning and getting better for many years after that age. I remember saying Critta at 25 will be a better centre than Joey Manu was at 25 and getting laughed out of this forum. Only thing wrong about that prediction was how long it would take Critta to blow past manu as a centre. He did it much quicker than even i thought he would.

I'd take Joey Manu over Crighton everyday of the week. He can play centre, 5/8 and fullback. Overall he is just a superior talent.
Crighton has great leadership skills that I wasn't aware of. But he isn't any better then 3 or 4 other centres in the game right now if take footy play only into account

Agree. Even in his last year he was not that influential.
Crighton is the best defensive centre in the game. I think there are a few better attacking weapons. It isn't like he creates a heap of stuff and rips a side apart. He is great at finishing an overlap and beating a man one on one to set up his winger.
Also had the advantage of playing in probably the greatest side ever in the NRL era. And bar 23 a strong Bulldogs side.

How do you think he would look at Newcastle or the Titans.

I disagree strongly.

Even if you need to discount leadership(which is dumb as its his leadership that has had the biggest impact on the dogs) Critta is much more talented than Joey. Joey only has him covered in ball running when it comes to on fied production. Critta has been outproducing him in every stat not related to ball running for quite a while.

People forget how many times Critta pulled something from nothing to change a game. He has had that in him from day 1. He isn't a workhorse like other outside backs, but he is a winner.

Critta has been a match winner from day 1. To say he only ever had one elite year for Penrith is is ludicrous and thats another thing he has over Manu. Proven big game performer. Is there anyone league who has stepped up in big games as much as critta? You want someone to play out of their skin in a GF you pick Critta. You want someone to run for 300m is round 12 against some bottom sides you pick Manu.

Manu in 2021 and 2022 was single handedly winning games at centre for the chooks through sheer will.

IMO both aren't particularly good playing other positions at centre.

Critta was clueless at FB for us and Manu was pretty poor at 5/8th. He's a better FB than Critta but did nothing but make metres.

Yeah people keep saying he can play 6 but from memory that experiment was over pretty quickly when Robbo tried it.
