Certainly worth making enquiries. Des has a track record of not having too many f**ks to give about cap considerations, so he might be happy to wear a bit to move him on.

I doubt we could afford even a cut price fifita next year, at 1.2m cut price is still 700k or more. For this year only maybe we could pull it off if the titans chip in a lot and we wait as long as possible so they pay lot of his years salary before he gets here. Likely its not happening.

That's why you take him for the remainder of this year and he can go somewhere else for 2026. By then Ivan should be sweet for his second row rotation and get a look at some young guys coming through with how their development is tracking.

It probably won't happen, but if the Titans are willing to put a heap in he's either extremely difficult to work with or his ankle is a much bigger problem then is being let on. Either way, it'd be a very expensive risk.
