That's called the sunk cost fallacy.

Yes clearly you'd rather not be in that situation but it requires a time machine to fix.

The decision now is do you get more from the cap relief, and is the other team paying him more than you would if signing him today.

Yes if it keeps happening you have to axe the decision maker though (already happened).

We haven't done great job recently, missing on a couple of key players, but given the succession issues we've had and still made finals each year it's a stretch of the bow to call them poorly run
Moot point.

Roosters don't want to release him and never have according to Robbo.

And if you believe that, I have a bridge to sell you.

So let me just get this straight:

We’re meant to believe:
- The Roosters never wanted to lose Young.
- The Knights on their own approached him in a blatant breach of anti-tampering rules and then demanded the Roosters foot his whole contract (lmao)
- Then when Robbo’s asked if he’s going to put in a complaint (valid question because his allegations are serious) he suddenly backtracks and is all “oh nah it happens all the time it’s not that serious”
- All the while he blatantly lied that he had no knowledge of Brandon Smith being shown the door but now he’s close to signing with Souths

Sure Karen LMAO

Looking forward to 360 and Braith defending his old mates. Tallis and the journos are too stupid to point out what you’ve mentioned.

Think you’re sailing a bit close to the wind floating that kind of accusation.
Apologies in that case. While numbers bandied in the press are obviously not gospel, I just find it frustrating that a new team in this case or lower rated teams try and buy a star player by offering significantly more than their existing club can offer yet they still choose to stay while we keep hearing that players only have short careers and need to set themselves up. I get that money is not the sole motivator and potentially winning a GF has to be factored in, but some of the differences in contract values quoted just raises suspicions. Apologies again.
