You can't argue that Sloan in 2024 has mainly played with more heart than in 2023. Yes, he reverted against the Tigers, but he has been mostly much tougher in defence and in bringing the ball back in 2024. The improvement curve will not be a smooth arc. It will have the odd divet as it climbs.

You can't argue that Sloan in 2024 has mainly played with more heart than in 2023. Yes, he reverted against the Tigers, but he has been mostly much tougher in defence and in bringing the ball back in 2024. The improvement curve will not be a smooth arc. It will have the odd divet as it climbs.

I truly hope so but I just cant see it, I would love him to sort out his issues.

I think it’s fair to assume that Flano wouldn’t really have the authority to summarily sack Deano and even if he does I think he’s astute enough to know it would be unwise to do so.

The young narrative has come full circle now. At the start when Flanno reappointed him, most said 'oh that's alright he might've learned a thing or two at the Cows and would be a good assistant. Flanagan absolutely knows what he is doing and there's no way he made any concessions to the BOD about having DY as assistant'.

Then when the wheels started falling off the Flanagan bus we get told 'oh what's going on with DY as assistant? Our defence is so bad'.

Now we're up to 'Flanno should sack DY but he can't because the BOD wouldn't let him'.

The excuses just evolve over time don't they?
