They were in his mouth guard the whole time.

One of the most satisfying matches as a fan.

Early 2004 game against the Roosters with their fans crowing about the 2003 GF being a fluke.

24-6 win.

Hodges told Girdler to meet him in the parking lot after the match haha.

The following are unsigned. Who would you keep?

Mavrik Geyer, Harrison Hassett, Asu Kepaoa, Daine Laurie, Soni Luke, Riley Price, Preston Riki, Brad Schneider, and Luke Sommerton.

Mav - Surely Armstrong and Clarke go ahead of him next year.

Hassett: No

Kepaoa. He can't even get a taste here. Why extend?

Daine. Probably time to move on with 2 good FB coming through.

Soni. Going.

Riki. No

Schneider No.

Price. Been injured long-term hard to rate.

Sommerton. Maybe. I haven't seen enough of Billy Scott.

I couldn't care less if all of the above left. We need some new blood in that can push for FG next year. Rather than fringe bums.

Sommerton is the only certainty for me.

Put him in the 13 for Cup, and make him captain. Good cover for Kenny if injured or suspended, and a good mentor for Billy Scott.

If Riley Price is happy to stay for the same money he's on now, I'd be giving him another 12 months.

He's had a terrible run with injuries, but obviously has a bit of talent.

The rest can beat it.

Keep somo. Hasset assuming it cost us nothing, wait till later in the year and decide but he was always a small forward who would take longer to get there physically, put on some size finally this year and seems to finding some form in cup. Worth watching and seeing.

Happy to let price and Riki go, mav also. We’ve got more coming than just Armstrong and Clarke, Jakeb Vailalo is one to watch and the best of the unblooded forwards might be Billy Phillips, we will see him debut sooner rather than later I think, not sure on his contract but he’s started at lock in cup the last two weeks, they are def developing as a future first grader. Might play some edge early on but he’s a lock long term in first grader, beautiful passing game.

Can't blame him I've always gotta get the wife to find stuff that's right in front of me.

Billy Phillips re-signed last year on a 3-year contract. Going into the top 30 in 2027.
If he keeps going the way he is going it might be sooner.

I'd keep Sommerton. I like Laurie and would love for him to be a success here, but it's not likely to happen, so hope he can make a career somewhere else.

Geyer on minimum would be ok. The rest probably better off looking elsewhere

What ever happened to Hassett though. I always he was meant to be some sort of a wonder kid.

I think we need a bit of a clean out in the cup side tbh. Out of the forwards I’d keep hasset, sagaga and maybe mav. Rest of next years pack made up of Armstrong, Phillips, Clarke, vailalo. We can add depth to that if needed.

The spine should be Edgar at the back, toleau, Cole, Lamont in the halves and Scott/sommo at hooker. In the backs keep fonua Jesse and fale let the rest go. Tua patea and poutou Papalii are both outside back with contracts that have them join the top 30 in the next two years, poutou next year I think. They should in cup regularly next year.

He’s just to small. When’s he’s done filling out assuming he works hard I think he will have a Connor Watson or Cameron Murray type build. So to make it in the nrl he’s going to be that style of forward, not sure if he can do that, but it’s worth one more year to see, he looks bit bigger now.

Corey Harawaera-Naera cleared to come back to the sport. Would be hungry and cost next to nothing surely.

It's just a shame Katoa and Burton come through when they did and not now where a position would of been available.
