it seems as though evey club has a big dick pushing it' barrow from an outsiders point of view except for us.
Well we do have Nathan Hindmarsh in the media.

But every time Hindy speaks he basically downplays the joint and is always negative.

I suppose its a reflection of a lack of success and lack of quality players we have had that have gone onto a media career or ones that have had long serving careers as well at the club

Since the 1980s these are the players who have been 200+ Gamers since 2000. Not a lot of positive media presence here except for Hindy & Mannah.

Ironically we have pushed a few of these out the door at the end which probably has left a sour taste in some of them.

Hindy is my favourite ever player and its not even close... but I despise him in the Media, he's slowly turning into a Price/Kenny rent a quote.

Playing the clown on the MJ show is one thing and he does it well... but when he actually tries to contribute with his 'expertise' on the game its embarrassing. I've also never really thought since he's retired that he portrays himself as a bloke who loves the club that much?

I always think of ET embracing Gallen after the Sharks won the comp in 16, the pure outpouring of emotion that ET showed... That should be Hindy's moment with the Eels when (if!) we ever win one, but then I also think would Hindy react in the same way? I have my doubts.

I'm shocked the dogs aren't going for DCE or Adam Reynolds. They got the team to win it now and are just missing that general.

I'm not quite sure that Hindy, Caylo and Burty were pushed? if anything they were allowed to leave in their terms...anyway.

we did Have Sterlo for many years but was to big a professional to go into bat for us unlike that red headed idiot who made a living out of pulling his dick over Manly and Queensland.

Interesting you say this i think Hindy himself did say he doesn't watch the end of GFs because he can't watch teams celebrate winning a GF because it triggers all the bad memories of never winning one. So he just can't stomach it.

Yeah i doubt he will be on the sideline if we ever win one.

Ray Price should be the man if he is still with us if we win another premiership.

Mannah, Fui & Gutho were definitely pushed were the ones i was thinking of.

Wagon well we probably held onto him too long to allow him to get to 200 games.

I would have rissoled him after 2005 when he gave Matt Bowen a highway to run through to score.

Bulldogs ambassador is doing his best to jedi Galvin to the Dogs.

I see that Anasta was congratulating his former club the Tigers on excising the problem quickly to move Galvin on and asking “Do you want that at your club?”. Does he not realise that his other 2 former clubs are the front runner and sneaky 3rd option for Galvin’s services?

Dogs are wired do they need a gun half taking up all their cap? Sexton is doing a good enough job along with their super start players.

I would have also thought the Roosters would have thrown their Hat in the run for Galvin partner him up with Walker for the next 5-10 years.

Manly as well have a few Moses players so he could also Land their with DCE out the door.

I don't really care either way if we got Galvin as I have said we need forwards more than a 5/8.

but that doesn't matter because the kid and his manager will only look bad if he signs with us.

you could argue that only Guth was pushed a year early but I think any reasonable thinking person would agree it was the right decision when you look at the circumstances surrounding.

I loved Mannah, Fui and Wags and what they brought to the club but they definitely here a year too long.

Moving on Gutho was the right call.

And it showed me at the time Ryles is the right man in charge to get us out of this mess.

And nothing i have seen so far after 11 rounds has changed my mind despite the results.

A lot of Rookie coaches wouldn't be that brave before they even had 1 pre-season training session moving on the captain who was seen as the heart & soul on the field.

I hope Price and all the old boys of the 80s boys are still around when we win one and hope they are there to experience it.... but although they have waited a long time for us to win another one they all did have their moment in the sun already (multiple).

Hindy was the player who in the last 40 years deserves that moment more than anyone... he played over 300 games for the club including the 2x losing GFs and a couple of semis/prelims as well. He's turned into a running joke in Rugby League of his individual failures but this more so reflects on the club itself.
