Gus was incredible for our club. He has been incredible for the dogs.

People that doubt him are crazy

He certainly was.

Not everyone is giving an objective judgement of what he does. He isn't perfect and has his flaws but from the ground up he turned our club around. He is now doing the same with the Dogs. He is one of the best operators in the sport.

If you were a new franchise you'd be gunning to have him involved.

He’d be great for PNG looking after the pathways in a rugby league mad area/country.

Would be interesting in Perth. Would he be as successful without the junior base? Maybe, he did well with the Roosters but there he had money to some and the advantages of being based at Bondi.

Agree, but like all humans he has his flaws. Gus’ flaw is that tomorrow always look brighter than today…

People see what gus says in the media and what he says on his podcasts etc and think he actually means everything he says.

Hes a master manipulator of the media. He talks about how good galvin is etc etc... then parra get in a bidding war that the dogs are never in etc..

Yes his not perfect but the proof is in the pudding in what hes achieved.

Well he said out loud that Canterbury isn't Penrith. He always knew he would turn things around here.

I don't think he'd take the job in PNG or Perth but I'd try to entice him anyway if I were in charge. Or even a guy who is close to the scrapheap like Des Hasler.

Its better if he doesn't get the job anyway. First place he will poach from is here followed by his new nursey in at Canterbury.

That is my guess.

I don't really know how invested he is in Galvin. Everyone keeps saying it doesn't add up. If its a 2025 signing its really peculiar because they are running 1st. 2026 makes a bit more sense but who are they releasing? They have 2 good looking halves already plus Burton and Sexton.

I have a feeling there will be some action involving Ponga before the year is out.

Eels supporters who don't watch juniors may be upset but there was a reason he was at norths and not parra and its ability related, hopefully in a good system like Penriths he does well
