Someone explain this to me. How are Bulldogs that much bigger than us to be getting 3rd party deals?
just copy the Chook's model and panfers model.

So Gus got in, combined the Chook's model (with a deep pocket benefactor) and panfers model. Stole the panfers assistant coach and panfer players and success follows.

He'll sign David Fafita soon too

HYPOTHETICAL DISCLAIMER!

If I own a chain of businesses plus now I own Eels effectively, in my other chain of businesses I require a whole bunch of different services, for example I may need a linen supply.
I might go to tender for it and a whole bunch of good suppliers come back and I’m struggling to pick.
I like one but they’re a bit expensive.
I could ask them to lower their price or maybe I just have an informal chat to them, perhaps the topic of the Eels comes up, perhaps I mention I really like that player from another club, let’s call them Lachlan Thompson, but we can’t actually afford him because we’d need a TPA for well actually roughly the same amount as the difference between your linen cost and what I actually want to spend.
Then the next day because they too really like Lachlan Thompson and the Eels, the supplier contacts the agent and saythey’ll pay a TPA if Lachlan Thompson plays for the Eels.
The day after I award the contract to that supplier.

Purely hypothetical of course.

My final suggestion/"solution" to 5/8 for rest of season and next season lets throw $500k at Bevan French. Very versatile player.

No. I think Jai Field proved that even though you are good in the Super League it doesnt translate here
It doesn’t necessarily translate but: French was already good out here as a rookie and had a bad second or third season in bad sides. And as I understand it French is a Lot better than Field over there. He is also bigger or more muscle at least.

A TPA cannot include a playing condition.

If Moses gels well at 6 with Cleary, go after Reynolds for 2 years until someone in the juniors stands up like Riley has.

He couldn't be that expensive and he could steer us around the park and Moses can play the big moments.

In the podcast with Moses, he said he already thought he knew everything and the current coaching staff in the last 7 mths has taught him more than he ever thought. He also says he's never played with a sensei (someone who has taken the path before) halfback and wished he had one when he was young.

Maybe he is open to learning more of Reynolds especially as he ages and need to use his brain more than his physical attributes.

I'd rather this than go for Sandon Smith.

I would accept Katoa though.

We just need a running 6 that can defend. We already have candidates to audition and a number of juniors coming through. Galvin was not the loss many see him as. Was good last years but no so great this year so far.
