Unfortunate, he is a solid first grader we may miss.
- Corey Allan (Hamstring, Round 17)
Makes sense. He’s the general kicker so should be halfbackKyle at 7!
Thoughts???
Yep, Kyle should have been the 7 from the start of this year. He was half back at the Sharks, Roosters and Bulldogs before joining us. We could have not signed Ilias and waited for Atkinson to turn up next year. LKT was used late last year and he in my opinion should have continued as the 5/8th from the start of the year as well.Makes sense. He’s the general kicker so should be halfback
A couple of injuries & he will return this year, especially if Gutho goes down ,because he is light years ahead of Sloan in ball playing & MONGREL in defence, even with him being under weight. Can only wish Ramsey. Doubt he’ll be first grade this year. Though I wish we do see him back . Great story to even be playing
There are a few doing well in KOE. playing With effort and go forward, winning builds effort. im ok with rotations to minimise fatigue and get rid of niggles on the young guys.I admit I've only seen the KOE Dragons when they've been on Fox earlier in the season but I read the match reviews and one forward who doesn't seem to get rewarded for his efforts is Jett Liu- a big strong prop-early 20s-just the size and age we need. Can't understand what's going on there. Last weekend he was described by a NSWRL match reviewer as being "exceptional" or a word to that effect. Certainly, made me sit up- none of our NRL middles have played the opposition off the park.
I think SF kept KF at 5/8 because the left side was our gun attacking combination. And the understandings were built all through pre-season. So I can understand SF's reluctance to change that. We usually out-score the opposition for tries....and missed conversion kicks losing us games. I think we can all agree on that.Kyle at 7!
Thoughts???
Good to see!Kyle at 7!
Thoughts???
That would make sense to give Sloan the sack after scoring two tries in winning side.I think they’ll give couchman another few weeks. He looked busted last few games. Knee heavily strapped.
Let’s hope CT back fit, have missed his energy.
Wont be surprised if CT replaces Sloan.
Ramsey has the biggest heart of any player I have seen. Sloan has a heart the size of a pea.A couple of injuries & he will return this year, especially if Gutho goes down ,because he is light years ahead of Sloan in ball playing & MONGREL in defence, even with him being under weight.
In my opinion redandwhite4evr, Jett Liu and Loko Jnr Pasifiki Tonga are big boys who can develop into much stronger and more forceful middles as they get older. I am positive that both will be playing first grade together next year. We should have a great nucleus of young forwards vying for first grade next year so the competition between the players will help us be a team hard to beat.I admit I've only seen the KOE Dragons when they've been on Fox earlier in the season but I read the match reviews and one forward who doesn't seem to get rewarded for his efforts is Jett Liu- a big strong prop-early 20s-just the size and age we need. Certainly, made me sit up- none of our NRL middles have played the opposition off the park.
Sloan talented , has had ample time to show he is ready , in a top 4 team where he doesn't have to do too much defending on the wing maybe ok long term ......... But as you say he possesses no aggression at all , thats why I can not see him being a long serving fullback ....... I hope Im wrong and does make it ........Ramsey has the biggest heart of any player I have seen. Sloan has a heart the size of a pea.
Flanno and Cook on the bench now that would be a disaster hahaK Flannagan should be at 14
Liddle to 9
How about trying Reed at 7
Keep LKT at 6
Cook to reserve grade. Let him mentor some bright young player for the rest of his stay at the Dragons.
Given the players currently available my 17 would be:
1. Gutherson
2. CT
3. Suli
4. Holmes
5. Lawson
6. LKT
7. Reed
8. De Belin
9. Liddle
10. Klemmer
11. Leilua
12. Su'A
13. Stewart
14. Flannagan
15. Tonga
16. Couchman
17. Cook
Gould sacked Ivan Cleary and brought in Griffin and extended Griffin. How good is he with the Dogs juniors? Averillo, Alamoti let go. Saints let go of Tamale and people are going off.Gould designed a struction and developed Penriths Junior League. We had our chance to offer Gould a similar position after the completion of his 'Mary' report.
Our Junior catchment area is a similar size to that of Penrith but the work being done is way short of its potential.
