Kerry stokes would’ve been thrilled

Especially as this year the gap has widened as nrl is up and afl is down big time
If only we could take your partner’s figures seriously. He’s so often been proven to be a bs artist.

How do you think they got to a 13.7 million aggregate last season

ok I see you throw this out there, but its evident you think its only Warriors matches to get your 500k. Its not. Its ALL NRL matches shown in NZ, including Preseason, Origin, NRLW and Tests. The graph literally says all competitions

This means it includes

- 7 x mens, womens and u19s origins
- 2 x mens and womens Allstars
- 16 x preseason challenge matches
- 48 x NRLW matches (including finals)
- 16 x mens and womens matches in the Pacific Championships
- 213 NRL matches (including finals)

Also note

- SkyNZs deal when announced included ALL NRL and NRLW matches.
- Sky also showed the Pacific Championships

In total Sky/Sky Open/Sky Now would have shown up to 302 NRL associated matches last year at an average of 45,000 per match.

The figure (13.7 million) comes directly from Andrew abdo

If you want to say that figure is bs without facts to back up your opinion then that’s a reflection of your website and proves what I’ve been saying all along

Here you are going looking for excuses

If you had actually read my post I said when the warriors are shown on fta which isn’t often

Next time why don’t you try including womens and under 19 origin in your figures plus all stars and pacific cup

That graph with the 13.7m comes direct from the NRL website, released alongside the annual report. Im not sure what youve heard Abdo actually say.

I dont say the figure is bs without facts, the graph supplied by the NRL says your assumption is.

Ive got facts. supplied by the NRL and Sky. I dont know what you think you have.

If you had actually read my post I said when the warriors are shown on fta which isn’t often

You didnt say it in the post i responded to - AND we've already dealt with that nonsense claim in the past - we know for sure its reached a 500k reach ONCE. The 13.7m you keep citing is accumulated ratings across all competitions and mediums, as are all the other figures the NRL posted. - As indicated by the graph.

Next time why don’t you try including womens and under 19 origin in your figures plus all stars and pacific cup

According to the graph supplied by NRL.com, they already are. Why dont you try reading for a change. This isnt the first time you havent paid attention to the source notes or the fine print.

That’s why they included nz in the total ratings figure of 200 million

So the nz figure is supposed to be reach whilst all the other figures quoted are average

Yes we are suppposed to believe its reach, because while the club site didnt give a source, Sky did in their release.

The NRL kicked off with much fanfare in Vegas, and Warriors fans tuned in in huge numbers for their initial game, with 402k people watching the Raiders v Warriors match from Las Vegas on Sky and free-to-air on Sky Open. A further 91k watched on Sky Go and 64k on Sky Sport Now.

"Linear TV Source: Nielsen TAM, AP05+, Cume Reach, Sky Sport + Sky Open, Overnights, SRP Rounds 1-3, NRL Premiership round 1 Warriors match, A-League Rounds 1-21, Super Rugby Aupiki Round 1."

Yeh that’s why they included it in the total ratings figure

Didn’t you admit before you believed the figure. Why are you backtracking now ?

“The NRL claims to have a cumulative match viewership over all competitions of 200.5 million in 2024 – comprising 186.8 million Australian viewers and 13.7 million from New Zealand – to post a total 8.6 per cent higher than the previous year.”

That literally says what i said already - and is in line with the graph from NRL.com that was already posted. Cumulative match viewership and all competitions.

No Ive always said SkyNZ only supply reach data.
The arl is saying they are average figures

They have more credibility than you do

You were recently accusing them of fudging the Vegas crowd figure

Maybe sit this one out it’s not an area of expertise

Im not arguing against it.
So you are saying they took the cumulative ratings of Australia and added it to the cumulative reach of nz ? lol

Use your head you think nrl games are averaging 80k across the whole season in a country of 5 million

Just accept the L. Just because afl has failed to develop nz is no reason to minimise what rugby league has built there

No

I changed my mind on that when i looked at this earlier tonight. Its cumulative for both - as the graph says. This also means that your "they rate 500k" isnt likely either - and those matches have documented been documented as reach by Sky on three separate occasions now , the average of NZ broadcast NRL or NRL affliliated matches is about 45k across the year.

It is however undeniably reach when talking about the ratings for Vegas, as indicated by Sky.

I said already, no. I think they average 45k or thereabouts, as indicated by the data.

I was wrong on it being cumulative reach in the NRL graph.
I dont care what the AFl does in NZ, it has no prospect of ever doing anything substantial.

WB is a fool mate. A first rate idiot. You can hit him With every fact under the sun and he just lies in response.
For an NRL game to get 50000 in ratings for a normal season match it requires 10% of the population to watch it. That, comparatively, would be 2.6 million in Australia. Those are borderline SOO ratings.
If that did ever happen it has to be either reach or a significant blow out outlier in statistical terms.
His little mate whose statistics he relied on must be his twin sister as he spews the same garbage.
