‘Indeed, the code appears in a healthy state as it prepares to go to market for a new broadcast deal beginning in 2028. Average audiences for Nine’s NRL games this year are up more than 5%, according to sports industry blogger Jason Lassey.’

No

I changed my mind on that when i looked at this earlier tonight. Its cumulative for both - as the graph says. This also means that your "they rate 500k" isnt likely either - and those matches have documented been documented as reach by Sky on three separate occasions now , the average of NZ broadcast NRL or NRL affliliated matches is about 45k across the year.

It is however undeniably reach when talking about the ratings for Vegas, as indicated by Sky.

I said already, no. I think they average 45k or thereabouts, as indicated by the data.

I was wrong on it being cumulative reach in the NRL graph.
I dont care what the AFl does in NZ, it has no prospect of ever doing anything substantial.
45k a game lol

Thanks for admitting that

Since super rugby and nrl generate similar ratings you are saying union averages it too

And all black tests which rate similar to warriors game would also be low according to you

You realise there are over 200 games being shown there ?

I havent said that at all. Super Rugby didnt put out an aggregated average audience like the NRL did, so we cant infer anything from it.

All NZRU had to say was reach figures.

This season, 12 DHL Super Rugby Pacific teams played 91 games culminating in a sold-out Grand Final at Eden Park. More than 640,000 fans turned up to show their support across New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, with ticket sales for the Weekly World Rugby Rankings, Black Ferns and All Blacks, 2022–2024 1 2 3 4 5 6 Women's/Men's World Rnaking # All Blacks Black Ferns 60 61 finals series - in bigger stadiums this season - up more than 26% on 20231 . The on-field action saw 4,881 points scored across the season, including an average 7. 3 tries per game2 .

Nearly 2. 1 million watched coverage of the tournament on Sky Sport and free-to-air Sky Open (up 12 percent on 2023) across Aotearoa3 . Another 249,000 unique viewers watched on digital channels Sky Sport Now and Sky Go, with over 6. 8 million streams across the tournament 4 .

A new ‘video-first’ focus for this year resulted in 178. 5m video views and 6. 7 million engagements across the Super Rugby Pacific social media channels 5 .

Over 680,000 people watched 2024’s new expanded (six weeks plus final) Sky Super Rugby Aupiki season on Sky Sport and free-to-air on Sky Open 6 , up 21% on 2023 7 . The competition was streamed on Sky digital channels more than quarter of a million times, with 46,000 unique viewers on Sky Sport Now and 26,000 on Sky Go. New for 2025 will be the addition of a new ‘Women’s Super Rugby Champions Final’ to be played between the Aupiki champions and the winner of Australia’s domestic Super W competition. Family-friendly kick-off times and double-headers helped

You realise Union ratings have no bearing on the NRL data right?

Each nrl round averages around 500k viewers

The large bulk would be people watching the local side

The wahs games on pay tv would average around 200k and the games on fta 400k plus

It’s well documented warriors games at times match all blacks

And it’s 220 games

8 x 45000 isn’t 500000. Even a pillock like you can work that out surely? Exaggerating data is easily rebutted. And stop making up figures that simply suit your argument. That’s Richie’s job

If a full round is avg'ing 500k how can warriors be getting 500k alone? Does no one watch the other 7 games a weekend?

That would be true if - this didnt include ALL NRL and NRLW fixture, preseason and internationals AS SPECIFIED IN THE GRAPH. Skys rights included these.

You are literally inventing numbers.

It’s well documented warriors games at times match all blacks

At times. Not every time. And every time, its reach.

And it’s 220 games

No, as this is ALL NRL ratings, not just NRL mens season and finals, and inclusive of all competitions - AS STATED ON THE DAMN GRAPH - its up to 302 matches as listed in my post.

Sit this one out champ

It’s beyond your comprehension

The 13.7 million figure is a cumulative ratings figure

And warriors games do get up to 500k for thier best game

Maybe there’s something about ratings in Tasmania you would know about

Feck me you are a dishonest bastard. He’s proven you to be absolutely wrong and as usual you respond with even more bs. I know you took a shit load of drugs earlier in life as you told us so months ago. But feck me it shows.

After all this Im not even sure you understand what you are talking about. YES we know its a cumulative ratings figure, that is clearly labeled on the graph - and I have come to the light that its aggregated average ratings (or cumulative).

1748406839492.png

As is the fact that it includes ALL competitions, not just the NRL mens season and finals. I mean its literally written there on the bottom of the graph. Skys Media rights deal includes all of the mens and womens seasons live, and they broadcast the Pacific championships and Origins.

Reach. Something we arent allowed to mention when it comes to the AFL, but if its NZ you are prepared to take giant leaps of ignorance for.

Maybe there’s something about ratings in Tasmania you would know about

I know plenty about Tasmanian ratings, what would you like to know?
