Dominant… Haas is a monster, so good. Barnett was excellent, not many have gone to us and become infinitely better players

Couple of standouts for me, Qlds first set of 6 on D was the weakest effort that I’ve ever seen in Origin, and when Leniu came on, they deliberately kicked away from him rather than taking up the challenge. Neither of those things are typical origin attitude

Never write off someone of his calibre, but at 36 it looks like age and drama have caught up with DCE?

And Crichton becoming a modern great at centre...
He already is one. He's insane. Has the premierships to back that up already. I remember when he was at Penrith, and people said he was overrated, was just benefitting from being on the end of a Panthers backine...but he's nigh-on the best player from that dynasty, and I include Cleary in that (Yeo probably pips him)

The speed of the game at times and the skill level last night was at time just breath-taking

Man, he was immense last night. Must've been close to MOM.

All the focus beforehand was about the left side threat, and there was the one really slick shift for To'o to score, but otherwise it was Crichton just terrorising poor Hammer. And his defensive reads were immaculate, especially when moved to the wing with one man down.

Between him and Haas having such massive games, Loz owes his medical staff some beersies lol

I agree, the reason I said becoming is so many said the Dogs were wasting their money on someone Cleary, Luai and Yeo made look good... I think he's third behind Cleary and Yeo, but yeah, part Gene Miles, part Brett Kenny, part GI

Harsh on Mitchell - that ball for the try alone was enough for me, he wasn't electric like Crichton - NSW across the board were so much better it wasn't funny - halves were great (goal kicking aside), back three good, Martin had a quiet game but hits like a sledgehammer

Nanai might have been Qld best - for NSW Haas, Crichton and Yeo maybe

I'd be incredibly surprised if he is picked for Game 2. Go with the future. Deardan and Munster? Invest in Katoa?

Aside from being a Kiwi (a nationality which evidently no longer exists in the world of rugby league) Katoa is NSW.

It won't be too long until we see the all-Kiwi NSW combo of Cleary/Katoa.

Ah, no kidding. Probably won't pick him then

I hear you on the extinct Kiwi thing, I feel like that's a situation of the NZRL's own making. You can trace it back to when they allowed David Kidwell to take control and he absolutely ran the essence of that jersey into the ground with his putting the Wi in Ki or whatever dumb shit that was, making them sleep in marae ahead of a Test match, appointing Adam Blair as captain and generally being a massive dunce

Since day 1, he has been super professional in all aspects. Perhaps all this saga this year has him taking his eye of the ball on the little things he has always done

interesting to read the roosters might be keen to backflip on their deal with him. I don’t think that is Politis’ go though

Qld supposedly had a good end to the first half but the pictures inside the dressing room was of a defeated side. In contrast, NSW looked bright and confident.

It's the Origin marketeers worst-case scenario, a dominant Blues side, winning. As Gould said at the start, 'Origin is all about Queensland'.

Wouldn't that be glorious, especially to Titans fans, if the Roosters pulled the rug out on DCE?

It's just not a good signing. And to lose Sandon Smith over it, no one is telling me with a straight face that DCE is the difference between a 2026 premiership or not
