Don't disagree but To'o for example is just back from a hamstring injury and last night was his 5th game all year. Pushing him now is just asking for an injury and we can't succeed without him long term. I'd consider Yeo at least playing less minutes. The rest I said previously is case but case as the staff knows better than us
I'm not sure Ivan does know better, he's far too loyal. The boys will always say they'll be right now matter what.

When you are last long term plans go out the window. This is a new scenario. You literally have to roll the dice and keep in mind we were doing this even when we were sitting pretty in the top 4 the last few seasons.

We already know the Warriors game will be highly unlikely on backups. Therefore these next two Parra games which will be post-Origin need everyone on board.

We are running last if we lose this week we will be the first team since 1953 defending premiers who are running last at this point of the competition
Makes sense to rest them running last we continue to run last so they can come back while where still running last
I will leave if they play or not back with the training staff and back there decission

Yes but I'm not willing to sacrifice the health of our players for the instant gratification of a win.

I'm not sacrifice anyone's health by playing them. The only one who may not play (I believe) is possibly To'o. In reality I believe they will all play.

I trust the coaching staffs and Ivan on this. He and the physio's know far more about the players health than you or I do.

Also it's not 'instant gratification' it's about winning footy games, and climbing off the bottom of the ladder. As others have said, the team had a bye 2 weeks ago.

I'm not gonna sugar coat any scenario about making or not making finals this year.

Some fans believe the year is a lost cause already and we should not risk any players.

Some fans, like me, believe our players should go out every week, bar playing injured, and try their best for a win regardless of the opponent and definitely for the fans.

Rep players understand the high workload, that's the reason they get paid well.

The last four years we've had the luxury of resting players as we were up the top and had pretty decent "plug and play" backup players.

Now we don't.

So we have to do what every other club has done in the past, have players back up and trust the coaches handle the work load differently.

I bet Parra's rep players back up.

Oh 'eddy the expert' come on......you don't know better than Ivan and the coaching team..He sees the players each and every day.

This is the team that have been the brains behind helping the players win 4 grandfinals in the last 5 years.....

and chins. your claiming you know better......PLEASE/

Got to strongly disagree with Chins here.

It's all hands-on deck time. I do not want to see us ever pull up stumps on a season when there is still a somewhat realistic chance of making the finals. That attitude of writing off a season is extremely damaging to the club culture and also the psyche of the players. It's a bad bad mentality, even if it appears to be logical.

To me the season is likely already over, but there is still hope. If I were in any sort of leadership position - GM, Coach etc I can think that the season is likely over, but I would never ever voice it to anyone or behave in a way that indicates that. In fact, I would try my hardest to prove that belief wrong.

Belief can be a contagion, both good and bad.

I believe they can still make the 8 they aren't playing like they believe it though.

It's a funny ladder.

The team running 7th (Cowboys) has only one more win than Penrith. The bye rounds are making some teams look far worse off.

Not sugar coating our position. Deservedly last since we have lost at least 2 games we shouldn't have (Cowboys and Roosters). But its a long competition and there will be plenty of movement on the ladder by years end.

Its easily possible for us to get into the 8 based on the numbers, i just havent seen anything to suggest we have 3-4 wins in a row in us yet, we shoot ourselves in the foot far to much. If we could even get just 2 in a row atm ill be shocked.

Only so much juice left in Yeo, To'o and Edwards. Need to be VERY careful how hard we squeeze.

From the start of 2020 to the end of 2024 the great one played:

119 games for Penrith
14 games for NSW
11 games for Australia

144 games.

f**king ridiculous and I believe the highest workload of any player in the NRL in the half decade.

What a specimen.
