It was a bonehead decision that he was required to make in the 24 or 48 hours after we lost a GF. He/we tried to get it reversed, considering that when we asked it was months away from Round 1, but the NRL said no.

That was literally end 2022 and it's now mid 2025 and merkins are STILL beefing.

Big, big yes on Cobbo. He helps a lot with the backline next year. Its quality cover for fullback, he is a big powerful YOUNG athlete who is devastating in best form.

Having Lomax, Cobbo, Ionghi, Fox, Moses, Simmo etc would be a pretty electric and potentially negate the need to an awesome 6 and just have a decent kicking, great tackling 5/8. Maybe its a Douehli type? I know people hate him but you'd probably get Foran for $300k.

Honestly we don’t need him. We’ve got decent wingers. We need a 5/8, 2-3 Forwards.

I’d be all in for Tino if he’s got an out clause, then again our recruitment team are shit.

The word up here is the Broncs aren’t going to bust their gut retaining Cobbo. He’s hard work off the field apparently.

Cobbo seems like the complete opposite type of player madge would want.

Unforunately for Madge if he loses Cobbo.

He will cop the brunt of critisicm if he leaves so he is in a no win situation especially atm with rumours flying around he has already lost the dressing room.

Gordie Tallis is already banging on how Cobbo is a must keep because he grew up a broncos fan ffs.

a decent 5/8? that ship has sailed, we had 4 really good ones in our grasp over the past 12 months and are left with none.

if tino is coming to Sydney, its not going to be at the parramatta eels (unfortunately).

we could sign selwyn, a 5/8 and a couple of forwards given how many high paid players we have let go or are in the process of letting go. We need to reload for 2026, its a worry we havent signed anyone yet...
