I'm not going to lie.
It would be nice to put in a clinical performance and put on a bit of a cricket score every now and then.

We seem to hit a wall most matches, and our attack loses its way, just as well we were dominant in the forwards tonight.

Still, we won, and that beats the other option.

Lots and lots of improvement left.

Ugly win, but we were always in control.
Well done for Val to back up after origin, he was hot and cold but understandable.
Forwards were good tonight.
Strong debut from Lawson, he done good.
Next week CTP and Lawson until the end of the season, Sloan is done, kaput.
2025 is a much better team than 2024 but still a work in progress, nowhere near a contender.

Good first half build upon the opening 20 minutes. 2nd half was lack lustre, but they defended well. Lawson first game was great. Showed he belonged. Sloan on the other wing was out played by a 2 game teenager and just doesn’t contribute enough. King-Togia is growing into this team. Looked better as a 6 with Flanno in 7. Gutho keeps on delivering from the back and as the captain [although his challenge was dumb]. Couchman keeps improving [I thought his brother was better before he got injured] Klemmer really stepped up tonight. Not sure he can do those minutes every week, but was great and helped when we needed him to.

Bullshit. 2024 side put the tigers to the sword in a similar game last year and scored more than fifty.

Anyway great to get another win albeit against a putrid side. It's a shame we couldn't score any tries in the second half we really should've gone on and won strongly, however I did say 13+ so good to be proven right.

The real test of the strength of the squad v 2024 will come in the next 1-2 months.

Happy with the 2 points as always. I’ll be honest though, part of me is a bit disappointed. We had so many opportunities to really put an absolute beating on Newcastle today but our attack is still clunky. So many chances in that second half and we didn’t capitalise once. We also only went left all night. The few times we went right we looked likely so it was disappointing to see. However, our defence looked a lot tighter today. Fletcher Sharpe was in roadrunner mood and was trying all game and I thought our defence, particularly Kyle did an excellent job containing him. Kyle also did really well on Dylan Lucas. LKT is really beginning to warm into his role as a first grader and it was great to see him take the line on. Very powerful, and that was running up against KPP and Gagai. Well done boys

I've been critical of Flanno in some aspects but one thing he has done exceptionally well that no other coach since Bennett has done is the way he's bringing up these young kids through the grades.
And to be fair it was one thing he promised as soon as we signed him.

Great to see it come to fruition.

While our recruitment is questionable and stymied by the peculiar going ons at other clubs, we just need to retain these young bloes to make sure we are a club on the rise. Potentially exciting times ahead. Couchman, LKT, LPT, Stewart and Egan have not only been selected but they all make out best 17 at the moment.

He will come on and score a try or 2. Knights look cooked.
They did look cooked at half time, they fought well in the 2nd half and we couldn’t score despite setting up for a big result., though we did drop two tries over the line. We are better but much more to do.
