Sack Adam O'Brien

There is clearly only one reason why AOB is still the coach of the Knights.....money. Any other reason the Knights give is pure bullshit.

I still think the defence is first grade worthy. The attack is wooden spoon quality though......easily the worst in the comp.

Thing is....with a roster of pure attacking talent like Best, Gagai, Ponga Sharpe and Lucas, my f**k it should be better.

At this point I almost feel like AOB wants to be sacked. The longer this goes on it’s just hurting his reputation more and more. Every week he just looks like a worse coach really and if he wants another head coaching gig somewhere else in future then he needs to get out of this with some shred of his reputation in tact.

That being said he won’t resign on his own given the supposed payout that is in his contract but jeez the situation is painful to watch.

Also, if we can’t sack AOB because of the payout then can we just settle for sacking Blake Green for now? He’s the attacking coach so surely a large amount of responsibility is on him for how bad our attacking game is. Surely he’s not meeting his KPIs in that regard?

Not saying this necessarily fixes everything but bringing someone new into that role at least with some fresh ideas surely can’t be a bad thing.

Why do you keep picking Jack Cogger?

Can he just pick Hastings already? At this rate we need something/anything to change and Hastings in for Cogger is the most obvious change to team personnel that could make a difference. I don’t care how slow Hastings is these days, he surely is a better halfback than Cogger.

At this rate AOB could lose his job before Hastings has finished his contract, which would be ironic.

Hastings has been very good the last few weeks in Cup. If Obi had the balls he’d recall him, even if, god forbid it upsets some of the other players and wags.

DCE at 179 years old had 24 hours more than Ponga this week and managed a 34-6 win. It’s 5 days for him v Ponga’s 8 next week. Interesting times.

What actual coaching is going on week to week I wonder? Like after a performance like this does AOB double down and say “we need to work harder” or does he decide to change the game plan? Because so far we’ve been doing this just about every week then most of the time following it up with more of the same the week after. So are they paying AOB to just say the same thing each week? If that’s the case I’ll do it for half of what they’re paying him.
It’s pretty amusing that you compare what is said in the press conference to what he says to the players at all.

I do t really care how he sounds in the press conference. It’s responding to a few questions about 20 minutes after a result. If he sounds frustrated or disappointed - good. He should be.

We have no idea what is said to the players. The presser and training has zero correlation.

We are hopelessly outgunned in the forwards right now - no coaching is going to fix that. AOB needs to hold some responsibility for that, but so does Parr, so does POS, so does Gardner. Our situation right now isn’t just on his shoulders.

What your saying about the forward situation is true however it's only part of the story. The team has no cohesion, makes simple errors and looks lost in attack. All of that is squarely on the coaching staffs shoulders
