Agree 100%, his lateral movement in defence is a big issue. Gets caught flat-footed because he doesn't trust Moses with the block runner and then has absolutely no foot speed to slide in time.
Go back and have a look at his try last week - an outside back with even decent pace scores that without the need for the video ref.

I dont mind him as a backrower. but he was caught out earlier in the year when he was at centre. Wrong reads or slow laterally.

With Simo back, do you reckon he will be good enuogh.

I actually thought Russell was really good to and he threw a great pass to the fox.

Who would you have played instead? Samrani planted his feet and bit, like every other centre in the comp has done. Penisini who would be playing there if not injured is guilty all the time and he’s been playing in that position for 4 years.

I was no massive hype on him early but the dudes been doing a decent job in multiple positions for us.

And I dare say in the first 10 weeks we were the worst defence in the comp.

I think the past 3 weeks we have gone from the worst defence in the comp to 5th worst.

Hopefully in the next few weeks we are off this list completely.

No surprises but Shaun Lane is contemplating retiring from football this year according to Adrian Proszenko on 2gb.

And if he was at the roosters , dogs etc he would of retired and had a nice job for life working in his chosen field , at parra he's deciding what to do on his terms

Samrani is 4th choice centre, not surprising he isn't as good as our first choice options. Got beat in defence a few times with bad positioning and a lack of speed but he will improve with more experience and will likely make a transition into the backrow as he fills out more.
My main issue with him is his work out of our own end. If he's in the team he needs to be pushing for 150m every week. Russel was also poor in this department but he at least has a little skill and threw a decent pass to JAC for a try

Yep and Russell should be the 3rd choice centre I think we are missing another centre and a winger.

There is nothing stopping Lomax from doing what he does at centre if we can get another fast winger to compliment him.

I don't see anyone really standing out I'm the centres or wings in CUP or Flegg..

Junior Tupou at the dolphins has been given permission to negotiate with other clubs. Would look good in blue & gold with the phins paying part of his wage.
