Madge is the most overrated coach currently in the game and in fact i reckon he has gone past Ricky Stuart when it comes to all-time overrated coaches in the history of the game.

He hasn't evolved or adapted if anything he has just got more cranky.

As PVL was keen originally for BA to get it but then has had to pivot to Mal Meninga.

I reckon you are bang on there Pou. Sanders would have been handy for us. He had his best game in the NRL yesterday. Even Blaize looked better, however I think Smith is better than both of them and he should be, I think he turns 23 in December.

Sanders and Talagi will both be million dollar players. I doubt Smith ever will but as you point out, he is still young. Metcalf is finally playing like a $1M+ player this year, at the age of 26. Last year he was worth less than half of that.

Is it really about needing to fill specific positions? Maybe we just need our youngsters to gain more experience.

At this stage the only position we need to fill for 2026 is a five-eighth.
