Unrealised gains in SMFS's containing assets of $3m or greater, which impacts 0.5% of SMSFs.
They are targeting those cheeky merkins who have $50-750m in their little mum n dad super fund, where they slid it in paying only 15%. So anything about $3m will be taxed at - the company tax rate - or 30%.
You might whinge about all this but it is just closing a loophole that has been taken advantage of.
Boo hoo pay tax.
