Add the hooker to that menagerie of confusion.
He has a wonderful running game according to Mick Ennis and the experts after Thursdays game.

Taking a broader view over 3 years I wouldn't label him a running 9.
I'd label him a strong defensive hooker.

No kicking game and no scheming around the rucks.

So if he does in fact possess this string in his bow why is it rarely used?
Because it might demonstrate he is potentially a better half than both the other snorkels? Because he might take the gloss off The Punter and The Marketting Tool? Because it might interfere with Fitz's desire to revolutionalise the game by trying to invent a hybridised style of play using clonebacks in 6 and 7?

I don't know Since.

Even more confusing is that he consistently wins the Player of the Year prize as chosen by FitzHybrid

BTW. Tinkerbell ran for 110 metres in 11 runs vs the Dargons and still made 52 tackles. Destroys my theory that lately he's been having his D load reduced to enable him to have a trot from the ruck.

His running game would look more effective if someone went with him.
Pretty sure his first fun the other night he went 10 m looked right and found noone so did the full circle and came back to where he started.

Did he not play some type of unofficial 7 role against the storm last year when Atko was 6?

Yep you cannot play with 2 halfbacks.
I'm sure at training it looks great. Futz is there giving direction and pointing his arms and noone daresay this done work.
Plus he keeps telling them it is getting better you're still learning.

Trouble is in a game Futz isn't out on the park and left to their own devices the 6 and 7 air their L plates for all to see.

I personally think if this is the result after 3 years of learning time has run out on the experiment.
It's obvious these 2 can't make it work.
Moses and cleary did at SOO, but that's a totally different matter.

Actually...after saying all that I'm just giving myself an uppercut.
Did I say TWO halfbacks?!?!
Nico is a utility.
Nothing more.

I think that another hybridised model was used in that game versus The Storms where Tinkerbell and McStagnant shared the role. McPastUseByDate was officially 7

Tinkerbell was half vs the Titans in a 44-0 win and the next week against the Knights in a 19-18 win. The game where Akko was dubbed "clutch" by a certain podcaster because he kicked a field goal.

Beezlebub here 😈

This is really nothing.

Over the same 6 weeks, looks like this. Halves always poll high in tackling errors as they all play with Targets on their heads. Just depends which one the opp decides to target most and the side they favour in a given game plan.

In this same 6 week period Tricky made 66 and Hynes made more than double that with 134. So for more than twice as many tackles made to have the same errors shows he's doing much better. So there is something there
