As a wests tigers fan who's been through this, nope! It ain't gunna happen and this was always going to be the case. VLandys created a club that instantly had a divided fan base, hopefully it doesn't exist at the board level or theyre totally screwed.
Your best bet is to not engage them.

Yes its being a bit unrealistic, at least at this embryonic stage of birth.
WA RL fans will naturally be hoping for the club to be first and foremost a Perth club, and NS fans will naturally be wanting to see as much NS DNA in the club as possible.
Its a very fine balancing act to get it right and they wont always to start with. Can't please all the people all the time after all!

There are three key areas as the club starts up that has the potential to cause angst one way or the other due to the above desires of two different fanbases:
Board make up
Branding
Pathways model

What I find interesting is how upset some people get at other fans opinions, no-one is right or wrong per se, we just come at things from our own perspectives and desires.
People might like to think about that before getting personal in their attacks on others!

No, there is a less than a dozen “Den” members and everyone else is just Norths fans who joined the social media group.

You’re confusing people who join a fb group vs. people who are pushing the actual anti agendas.

There’s no division. I’ve explained to you what it is. Less than a dozen disgruntled wackos, trying to make noise and stay relevant while pushing counterfeit merchandise. Everyone else is a true fan and don’t necessarily see a difference between your Cave, Den, Yass, Perth Bears FB and so on and so forth. 80% are the same people spread across multiple groups anyways.

Belongs on the merch thread but its an interesting area around fan based merch v official club Merch. I see the Yas group are producing Merch with Perth Bears on to sell without permission. The Den I believe now produce stuff that is not infringing copyright of NS Bears. If The Cave members want merch we will look at that in the future and work with the club on what's acceptable and not competing with their merch sales.

It tells you that it’s yet another topic that you aren’t fully educated in. Look, you have a habit of being wrong on a lot of things that you don’t have intimate knowledge of. Learn to have a little bit of perspective, dude.

As for your throwaway comment about building the Perth Bears because you’re in the WC, really? Geez just when you’re coming around to sounding alright, you have to go ahead and say something dumb.

Some people just aren’t happy no matter what decisions get made. There is absolutely no point being upset at the fact that the very people who have been appointed to run this club (ie AdC), have in turn appointed others (JB, DD) who they believe will assist in service to the club for it to reach its potential.

Yass aren't selling counterfeits, and from what I've heard they have the club's blessing, don't take a profit, and even foot the bill on shipping.

The Den absolutely infringe on NS copyright. That's exactly what @Red&BlackBear is referring to.

Pretty close to the mark. Keep in mind that whoever are NRL adjudicating appointees might not necessarily be “independent”. IE if Joe Hockey is in fact locked in as an inaugural director/BM. The WA appointees however more than make up for any pre-conceived notion that people might have this Perth Bears board will be heavily NS influenced. Some very good names and people from the WA side.

Yeah they do. Anthony and prior to that NRL gave their blessings via comms with NS chair Daniel. Marty directly asked Anthony 3 or so weeks ago when Anthony was at NSO. Further to this they are directly using the North Sydney logo.

The Titans license bid was never an official or formal approach. That was a story that got blown out of proportion. Matter of fact I was the one (via connections on the Gold Coast) who was told that Titans at the time were deeply in the red financially and I arranged a dinner between one Bears connected person (not of admin official status) and one Titans connected person (of official admin status - at the time).

All it was, was good food, couple of drinks and general chit chat about where the Titans were at financially and commercially and if there was anything Norths could potentially offer to assist. Nothing more, nothing less. Journo’s caught wind of this and ran with some beat up story.

In short, The Den is a Facebook group whose admins and main contributors don't so much support the club as they antagonise and sell merchandise using the club's IP. One of the main things they sell is unauthorised replicas of old jerseys (counterfeits).
