It's been a rule for a while.. you used to be able to tackle the attacking player in the air when on the goal line but for some dumb reason they changed it...

It’s a hard one, it’s obvious to see how it’s not safe to tackle blokes in air but it’s now created these situations where blokes really can’t do anything when defending kicks like that. The To’o one on game one was absolute horseshit as was the one Lomax gave up against the Sharks.

They aren’t easy, but if you want to be an elite goal kicker you need to hit them. With Cleary in the side the moment he misses a second kick he should’ve been hooked.

I don't see why Latrell or Chrighton didn't Kick after he missed the second one actually either..

Would’ve gone for Cleary over either of those, but yeah they should’ve changed to any of them. Had the same issue in game one, stuck with Cleary too long. Lomax ended up missing when we swapped regardless, and it didn’t matter because we belted them but someone still should be making the call that the first choice is clearly off.

NSW scoring early and then got too cocky.

The penalty count was atrocious but NSW lost the plot as well.

Ill discipline was there

Hudson Young, Stefano, Max King ain't origin players.

Connor Watson was horrendous when he came on.

It also puts to bed Gus Gould theory that Cleary/Luai combo is superior at Origin.

3 wins from 7 at that level.

In a way NSW got what they deserved for there disgraceful handling of Moses last week.

There was 4 penalties in the first half that were rightfully so a penalty..

The Elbow / eye gouge / ruck kicking ball and obstruction every other penalty could have been let go as he did in the second half..

Klien was busting a nut to give a penalty away.. He tried when it was a clear knock on and had to be challenged. Then QLDs next set out of trouble he gave one for Hass laying down even though QLD didn't do the exact same thing..

Like I said in my rant I don't watch SOO for the ref to show us he is alive put the f**king whistle away unless th penalty is warranted.

He did lay all over the ruck though. He was trying to slow down Qld’s quicker play the balls. Looked a clear penalty to me. Joey and Gus said what I was saying at halftime, NSW were poorly disciplined just like we were in Game one.

Is it any coincidence the 1 big game in the last 5-6 years Klein didnt ref was the 2023 GF.

And its considered one of the best refereed games in the last 20 years.

The only reason Klein didnt ref that game was he had a howler in the semi final and basically had to be hooked for the prelim and GF.
