SMH reporting Cobbo has done tours/ held talks with Cowboys and Dragons.
Come on Ryles at least speak to him. He is not worth $1m, maybe $650k max imo, and only a really desperate club would pay more than that.

Also Fa'alongo is wasted on the wing for the Storm and maybe Ryles can encourage him across, $850-$1m would be in the range imo. As good a Iongi has been this bloke is better and Iongi could go to 5/8. Just those 2 players would elevate our backs to premiership status. Then we'd need to transform the forwards and TDS should be the first one bought in. We have the money so no reason why we'd not express interest.

AXE HANGS OVER HYNES
The Cronulla Sharks are facing a major decision around million-dollar playmaker Nicho Hynes.

Hynes has played fullback before at Melbourne Storm.
Playing him in the number one jersey next week might be a gamble worth taking
Been saying this for a while now.

My crystal ball has Papenhuzyen going to Perth in 2027 to be the marquee man/face of the franchise and Faalago will end up staying in Melbourne.

With Peninisi likely suspended for next week (or 2) Ryles should keep Joash at 5/8 and move Dylan to centre for rest of year. Thoughts?
Keep Joash at 6. Need to give him a consistent run there to see if he's a viable option for next year. His defence was solid yesterday, hopefully his attack improves with more time.
If Dyl had been playing well this year then I'd play him at 6. While he's improved on his early season form he's still just going through the motions.

Drown should absolutely return at centre, leaving Joash and Hawkins in the halves. I actually think that a Hawkins/Moses combo has more promise than Joash/Moses for next year if we can’t find a long term 5/8 solution. Having two strong long kickers allows Moses to run more and be a threat on the 4th tackle. Hawkins’ ball playing is also far superior to both Dylan’s and Joash’s.

Ironically Hawkins would be South's number one halfback if he was still there.

RYLES VINDICATED FOR DECISION TO LET GUTHO GO

Can’t wait to see Clint Gutherson and Isaiah Iongi go head-to-head when the Dragons host the Eels on Saturday.

While Gutherson has been a standout for the Dragons this year, Iongi just gets better by the week and was absolutely outstanding in the Eels’ 36-20 win over the Titans.

Without Mitchell Moses and Dylan Brown, Iongi took the game by the scruff of the neck and was instrumental in three of the Eels’ six tries.

Earlier in the year it looked as though Gutherson was going to be a huge loss for Parramatta when they kicked off with four straight defeats before they beat the Dragons by a point back in round five.

But right now it’s looking like Jason Ryles probably pulled the right rein moving forward with the 21-year-old former Panther who is such an attacking threat.

Yeah lets go through creepy Crawleys articles this year to show what a true dribbler he is.

Round 1 - What a disgrace it was letting Gutho

Round 4 - Gutho exposes Ryles

Round 5 - Gutho will haunt Ryles

Round 12 - Ryles may have the pulled the right rein with Iongi

Round 16 - Ryles now vindicated

MRC news: Smith 2 weeks, Penisini 3 weeks with early pleas.
Generally what happens after a win is we get bad news somewhere.

Just means we have to put up with Lussick for 2 games.

But Ryley has been fading a touch the past few weeks i think a decent break will do him the world of good for the backend of the year and Ryles doesn't have to dump him to cup to give him a breather either.

Penisini well he is replaceable.

I would move Dylan to the centres and keep the halves the same.
