So why not TRY Trindall at 7 and Hynes at 6?
Wouldn't change a thing.
The Farquee Man would just do what he's doing now. Rearranging deck chairs on a sinking season.

Craig Bellamy knew where to play him.
As far from ball playing/pressure/ responsibility as he could.
He had him on the bench, on the wing or filling in at fullback when Paps was injured.

It was fun for a while when he arrived at Shark Park. Shit he even took all the points each week to win the Dally M.
Guys running around with long hair stand out and tend to do that.
Funny that.
But true.
Sharon Woods even played for Australia.

But like all one trick pony's, the novelty ends and reality sinks in.

He needs to have a number lower than 3 or higher than 13 on his back.

When the highest earner at a club is not performing, it dosent take long for the rest to start to struggle.
What must run through Trindall's head he is actually halfback but he is told his the 6, he does majority of kicking leading the team around.
When the supporters can see the million dollar player is not owning the moments not being the man when it counts, if rubs off.
And then the coach dosent make changes.

Remember last year you seen Flanno ripping into Ben Hunt, I could not imagine even privately Fitz doing that to Nicho it would more just keep trying

Nicho took 1M from the club for this year.
When you take that you give a commitment that they get the very best you have to offer.
A commitment that you will deliver in clutch moments, big games and get the club into the top 4.

What you don't get to do is say yes please I will take the 1 million dollars but you have to accept me dishing up the same tripe every week and falling on my face when the game is on the line...because mums moved in.
She's a smack head so you understand.

Nichos problem is this:
He is simply not an NRL halfback.
At this level he is a utility player or at most a fullback/winger. He might run around with 7 on his back and do a job there part-time.
But 26 weeks?
Finals footy.
Grand Final day.
Not happening.
He won the Dally M - which is never won by the best player in the comp. Nathan cleary is no chance in a star studded side all vying for points each week.
Hynes running around with long hair and all flash in the pan saw the NRL world fall in love with him - and as usual he was the only guy those awarding votes saw when they were handing out DM points.
