Sloan to Reggie’s

He will flourish under a proper coach

Evidently it was all Hooks fault because he didn't know how to communicate with young players especially those that were more than over-hyped by many a poster in this place.

The simple truth is Sloan was always going to be a dud when it comes to the hard nose stuff that makes an NRL player. Hook had him and Sullivan pegged very early on.

As much as I'm no S F fan Sloan's demise is not on him which appears to be your inference.

Seems like it’s going to be a sad end for Tyrell here at the Dragons. Had high hopes for him but I was wrong. Unfortunately he only has himself to blame though. How many chances has he let slip through his fingers? Hopefully hIs manager can find him a nice deal in the Super League.
It's sad for him, but it's more of a concern to me that our club signed him to a big contract. Did they not notice his deficiencies, think he'd grow out of them or hope they'd coach them out of him? It's Dufty 2.0.

Dragons need a half back and a couple of props urgently , if none signed for 2026 then Flanagan will be gone at the end of 2026 and the rebuild will have to start again.
Of course Old Fox. The question is why haven't we? We have the money so why don't players want to come to, or stay at the Dragons? Answer that and we turn the club around.

We really need a facepalm emoji for trolls like you. So it’s the fault of two coach’s in a row that over 70 NRL games Tyrell has dropped countless kicks, bombed many certain tries and missed a whole heap of tackles…….????
You’re hilarious.
Since 77
Let me remind you the current coach extended him
I also think Sloan will do well under a coach who has the ability to give confidence to a player
Most of this team are shit scared to showcase their natural talent for fear of error
Its a robotic team playing a 2016 brand of footy
Unfortunately the game has moved on from this style and as our results have reflected in the last two years we are at the bottom for a reason
We are the slowest backline in the comp and our backline can be best described like when you walk into the gym and see the row of walkers on the treadmill mills
We had one speed guy but unfortunately he was too fast for the rest and our 2016 methodology has decided to give him permission to go
Well he will flourish elsewhere and this mastermind will be watching him from his lounge chair soon

It's a real shame that Sloan's time at the club could come to an end in these circumstances but I can't say for a second that over the last 2-3 seasons that the club has been unreasonable. It hurts me to say because he's one of my favourite players on his day and is a real joy to watch, but he has been given ample chances.

In fact, he's been given far more chances than most other NRL players have gotten, but he refuses to do the hard yards and get involved in the game, particularly in the middle of the field.

It's a real shame, too, because if he literally just ran harder and started sniffing more around the middle, he'd be a 10x greater player than he is most weeks, defensive deficiencies and all. Unfortunately though, we've seen this side of Tyrell far too little.

Best case scenario: I hope this is a real kick up the ass, being told that the Dragons don't want him, because in the past it was that he didn't want to be at the Dragons. If this doesn't kick him into gear, then sorry, Sloany, and all the best. Worst case (and seemingly quite likely) is that he'll probably realise what he needs to do... just elsewhere.

‘You are correct,I watched him in the KOE cup last week and even though he scored I think 3 tries he just coasts along. Never once chased the ball on a kick pressuring the defender, never jumped for the high ball, disinterested I don’t know but very disappointing.
