This was a great game, but Penrith aren’t what they used to be and Parra regularly did the same to the Panthers when they were a much better team.

Dogs are building something special, but they got an important lesson tonight. Just like Parra did a few times back in the day.

I must have dreamt multiple games between Penrith and Parra a few years back where defence was impeccable.

I'm glad now we didn't keep Blaize nor got Galvin. Don't not what Galvin adds the the dogs yet and plays only 30mins

I'm going to go out on a limb, and with an 11 year sample size say that I don't think adding a steely defence is BA's biggest strength...

Nah. We were a pretty solid team during that period. Dogs at the top of the ladder at the moment, but they don’t have to deal with the Panthers and Storm of 4-5 years ago. We did and had a commendable record against both during that period.

Whilst that’s 100% the truth, I think we’re already ahead of where the dogs were in Ciraldo’s first year where many were questioning if he was the right choice and would get through a second season. I’ve always said Ryles will be judged on years 3 and 4. I’m excited to see where we are in 24 months, but our R&R team need to get a handle on things and be able to sell the club to prospective recruits -something the dogs team have no trouble doing it seems

Therein lies the problem. Everyone can see what Ryles is doing, the fans are on board. But the R&R team and the CEO are his Achilles heel.
