Well the first half of the season was great. We are toast now. Fingers crossed not an ACL for Metcalf.

I don't agree with this. I mean, in the sense that we're not winning a premiership, OK I'll go along with that. But we're still 4 points clear of 5th, and with a decent finish, we at least get to week 2 of the finals even if no one is going to be particularly frightened of us.

I'd like to see Boyd picked next week, not TMM, and I think Webster is going to pull that lever. I can't see why else Boyd was re-signed, surely it isn't to be 3rd choice halfback and they haven't extended TMM. It's only TMM's utility value that gets him the 14.

Yeah sweet, then I agree with that. I'm trying not to, even last night I had this weird optimism and positivity I don't usually have, but reason tells me I should.

But our season is not over losing those 3

We have to remember that Boyd is an NRL half. TMM can go to NSW cup as he is not in the Clubs plans for 26

You know how when a player leaves your club and mostly you don't really care about them too much?
Not me with Metcalfe. Been watching the kid since he was coming through the Sharks ranks, was always very good.
I've enjoyed watching him this year play to his real potential.
Very sad for him, and his whole career injuries.
Sorry for you lot.

TBH considering both Metcalfe and TMMs injury records we ideally need to hold onto them both :/

The ABC guys are talking about Metcalf's injury being a 'real dent in our premiership aspirations'. It's surely a bit 'LOL' from our point of view, isn't it? We weren't winning this year. Those guys see us in the top four and go, 'well, they must be contenders'. But us, living through it week-to-week, are more real about it.

Yeah totally, I don't think we were ever winning the premiership even at absolute peak strength.

We would have sailed into the four, won a couple of finals to probably to fall away at the prelim - we don't easily score tries and that would have eventually cost us.

These injuries hurt, I still think we're good enough to make the eight and not go down a disgrace.

Yea I agree.

I thought TMM went pretty well in the driver's seat, looked lively and it was a lovely pass he threw that Kosi somehow managed to butcher. But yea, overlooking Boyd would be a bit odd given the contracting decisions made. Actually looking forward to seeing how he goes.
