I can't remember what the deal was.

But I feel the game has never been in better financial shape.

Most Clubs are now thriving financially off the field more then 10-11 years ago.

Stan has bought out Optus for the Premier League rights. It will result in Optus exiting the streaming industry.

Was an article in the Sunday Telegraph yesterday saying that Nine will be lodging a bid to televise all NRL games for its next TV contract. I suspect that some of those will be shunted to Stan Sport if they succeed.

NRL will not allow a single broadcaster to have all rights exclusively, but it may be a case of they allow 9/Stan to broadcast all games (3 on nine, remainder on Stan) in conjunction with Fox.

Fox isn't losing the rights, their new owner is all about sport broadcasting as a priority
