Raiders vs Dragons at GIO Stadium: 5.30pm, Saturday July 5

Raiders: Hudson Young was rested from their trip to Newcastle and he will be absent on Origin duty this week, likely along with Corey Horsburgh.

Dragons: Hamish Stewart (concussion) and Toby Couchman (shoulder) are out, wingers Nathan Lawson (arm) and Christian Tuipulotu (hamstring) are at long odds while decisions on Luciano Leilua (thigh), Viliame Fifita (knee) and Damien Cook (ankle) will be made later in the week.

We will be lucky to field a team. It's a stretch under any circumstances.

Just hope they are looking at the following week.

Yes, the team looks alright. Can't really do much else with who we have available with some still being a bit raw. The experienced guys, though not big signings, should have enough footy nous to at least not make things too bad in the end result.

The atrocious weather we are having on the eastern seaboard will disappear before this game on Saturday so conditions should be OK.

Our guys really have to knuckle down and play hard, tough, no nonsense, highly well structured footy with of course no to few mistakes and not giving away too many penalties and 6 agains. The execution in both attack and defence has to be spot on. That's all I have to say on the matter. Thank you kindly!!

I'm glad Finau gets another chance and I hope he kills it. Would have liked to see Halanghau instead of RFM on the left but can understand why RFM got the nod.
I also hope Sloan can find some spark before he leaves and our side can be competitive with the ladder leaders.
The Raiders have beaten the Tigers and Knights by small margins so we are a chance albeit very slim.

Realistically we only have a shot if Canberra have an off day, a real off day.
