About to turn 25. Has played 117 first grade games. Has elite pace and can play centre, fullback and in the halves. Heard on the radio that he is homesick and wants to come back to Sydney. Another Westfield Sports High product. Would be a good pick up at the right price but is he better than what we already have or does his speed prioritise him over Penisini and Russell?

It's been mentioned a few times here, we need to sign a centre. We may sign a fringe/project centre (but I think we already have decent coverage there and probably need a wing project, but maybe Sammy L is that) but would be very surprised if we signed a centre on top 13 money.

Ryles learnt the majority of his coaching trade at the Storm. They don't sign expensive centres. It's quality wingers and edge forwards, cheap centres.

Depends on the money, I reckon he would be a good pickup.
We also have Bailey coming back.

We also tend to have alot of backline injuries as well.

he would be amazing under Ryles's guidence imo.

Possibly but more likely about the same I reckon. Bellamy was so far ahead of the rest of the coaching fraternity in terms of focusing hard on the dark arts etc - that is part of development of players. Winning the ruck - Storm were head and shoulders above other for ages and Smith cashed in. Could be wrong.

Plus the Storm are excellent at not getting penalised in the ruck where other teams that do the same are! Funny about that.

Can Averillo tackle? I'm not sure. That is a centre's most important quality atm. If he can handle edge forwards and opposing centre's then he is an upgrade on Penisini.

Jake Av yes as I’ve said before. Who cares if we have Simmo coming back the guy unfortunately spends time injured a bit. We also have Russell and Penisini but he’s an upgrade on both and jeez it’s rare we ever have a fully fit side.

He has more versatility & speed then Penisini.

Interesting as I heard it 2 weeks ago roughly off a player manager in south east qld he wants to go bacj to Sydney, I thought I posted it here but couldn't be bothered checking, he doesn't manage Jake but his info is always good , told me about jack Hudson a few weeks b4 it was announced , also told me we have purchased a club in northern nsw but I can't recall its name , maybe billambel jets
