Volkman better than Ilias IMO. The whole team was off today, Glover‘s binning then Ramsey coming off injured threw them out big time. Other than LKT who is to good for KOE cup I didn’t think anyone really shone.

100% on Volkmann. Always said we should have put him on a train and trial and let him rehab with us. We would have been able to have first pick and he’s prob better than Ilias and KFlann. There are no good 7 options at the moment.

The big outliers in flegg this year have been obviously reed but to me it seems lyric craft, treweek & heidke. Lyric is such a gun under the high ball, tall and fast, with Sloan, rava and Alan leaving this year I’d say that opens the door for these guys to come into the reserve backline next year

Agree with the Flegg backs, we need to move on a few like Sloan, Rava, Allan, BRumble.. I think Feagai will still be here, Lawson too I guess... but the more we can clear the more we can start to filter these guys up, they are a little young but it is what it is:

• Lyric moved to the wing earlier in the year, and it seemed to work really well for him, he is good in the air, good finish, good acceleration.. he came through as a ctr, and has played it since, but I think hes better off focussing on wing atleast for the next year or 2... that said there is competition for Wing.
• Heidke is good to go now, absolute smashed it in his first 80min cup game.. just gotta clear the mess in front of him, hes the standout... lets get on with it, in 12mths time hwe should ve taking Sulis spot, even if thru injury.
• Williams - So I have barely seen him finish more than 2 games in a row in 2 years, so im lessening my expectations, but he has a T&T for 2026.. when hes healthy hes fast and strong and hes a real prospect.. but hes gotta figure his body out, very hard to make it if your development is constantly checked.. we cant hold spots open forever.
• Kirk - Out for the season, pushed him back 12mths.
• Buchanan - He's still very much flegg age, not sure what we will do with him yet.. but these younger ones could easily move past him.. but he has 1-2yrs development headstart...

CST has already shown he can more than handle cup also, Liu can more than handle cup.... Treweek has always been good, hes just stuck behind Egan, Nick, Jacob and CST.. he might make it but will need luck and patience.

There are others, but I guess were talking standouts here.. obviously Reed is the biggest of them all, but I feel like all the patience will pay off on that front.. that said if any of our main 4 halves got injured tomorrow, I would think Reed will be promoted into NSW Cup.
