The Roosters really have buried their 'small club, small crowd' stereotype haven't they?

With a slick organization, consistent success (anchored by 3 x premierships in the 2010s), and now a brand new stadium, I think they have revolutionized the rugby league product in Sydney. Their crowds have been great at Allianz 2.0 and are actually only growing year on year (particularly notable this year considering their injuries, slow start to the season, and home game vs South Sydney has been flipped from R3 to R27).

It's certainly left the likes of Wests Tigers and St George Illawarra Dragons (Sydney's long touted 'sleeping giants') in the dirt.
Roosters have taken that next step up that we want all the Sydney clubs to achieve. Long may it continue.

If you look at flog ball attendances all Melbourne clubs play out of 2 stadiums yet there is a 250% differential in crowd averages from highest to lowest. I think it’s a fact some clubs just have greater support than others and comfortable stadiums are not the only factor. In the Roosters case they have definitely taken advantage of the new stadium but they have also branded themselves very cleverly as the central Sydney club while poor old Souths are stuck out at Accor. Good on them.

Is that Cronulla terd still playing the victim lol. I put him on ignore a few days ago because he's more interested in starting arguments than actually contributing something worth reading about.
For a bloke who constantly whinges about state of Origin you really are out of your depth here.

Yeah as a South Sydney fan, it is disappointing to me to see the litany of decisions that club officials have taken over the past few years (whether it be stadium contracts, Uncle Wayne's original replacement, the loss of Adam Reynolds or the signing of Lewis Dodd).

Clover Moore has jumped on the bandwagon to petition for the move back to Allianz, but it really seems out of the picture until 2030 comes and their contract expires at Accor.

Not only will the Roosters benefit from this, but the Inner West sub-culture that is the Newtown Jets at Henson Park will also continue to grow (their colocation with the annual beer festival is a great day out) and that is a market that should be tapped into by either the Tigers or the Rabbitohs (as no reasonable Inner Westie would ever support a team from the Eastern Suburbs).

Yep. That battle for inner Sydney is fairly one sided at the moment. Once the rabbits get back the war between them and the roosters will be a beauty. Signing that contract till 2030 was incredibly shortsighted.

It is indeed a great day out. Regularly attracts around 15 000 but always announced as 8972 for obvious reasons (I think that's the number). Lol.
You going this year?

That's actually disappointing.
Canberra is leading the comp.
Sunny day, not so cold in Canberra terms. An almost guaranteed win.
It says it all about having a crap stadium tbh.
Their selling strategy leaves a lot to be desired. Club released a bunch of seats in bays previously marked as sold out around 3:30pm.
