Mods delete if this is off topic but disnt think it needed another thread

How doesn’t this destabilise the team

Can’t believe ciraldo wouldn’t have discussed with sexton he would move to hooker when Galvin came on

Or with Mahoney

Galvin was good too he really straightened up their attack with limited minutes

Why wouldn’t a trainer pass on the message than let Galvin do it

Just weird af

Braith Anasta is prone to hysterics. Doesn't help when all you've got is the likes of Gordy and Buzz to bounce ideas off of.

Toby Sexton is the odd man out as far as this year is concerned. He wasn't terrible yesterday, but blind Freddy could tell you our attack looked better when Galvin came on.

Reed Mahoney probably doesn't get another contract after his current one finishes end of next year, so if he gets a better offer, he's probably elsewhere next year.

It's a fair question...Ciraldo said he had a couple of plans on how to use Galvin, but halfback wasn't one of them...then he does exactly that. I'm not the NRL maestro coaching the top team here, but that doesn't seem like amazing planning.

Honestly, I thought he had reflux after realising how much of Gus he had swollowed just to find out he was only viewed as a two bit hooker... but seeing Mahoney alone and crying in the sheds would be a galvanising experience for any collection of decent people rather than destabilising... I guess we find out on grand final day if the doggies are good blokes or just a bunch of moronic flogs.

Was very poor last night, however I blame the Dogs more then him. They've made their mark on the comp the last 2 years through intensity and discipline. Now they've given the keys to their castle to a 19 year old who plays to no structure whilst moving their entire team around to accommodate him.

Surely throwing him into nsw cup for 4 weeks, then slowly bring him into the 17 would have been the go.

Reminds me of a young Benji in a lot of ways. Won’t play in a structure and even if he did you would not be getting the best out of him. Sadly I think he’s got people around him who don’t have his best interests at heart. Gus has also blown his load over him hands free so many times over the past 18 months that I can’t see the dogs playing him in reserve grade.

No doubt he has talent but as a neutral fan, I feel his signing has derailed the culture and has affected the playing group. Kid comes in after very public dramas, players start getting moved on (not entirely on him) and the focus isn’t on their position on the ladder, it’s focussed on Galvin and the fallout. Some of these headlines are misguided too.

Not sure about the inner workings of the club or whether my opinion is anywhere close to accurate but I don’t see this working out for them unless the kid earns his stripes

Has there ever been a scenario where a player, brought into the side mid-season, and put in one of key spine positions, has actually helped the on-field performance?

I mean maybe you could argue Soward in 2007, as he helped the Dragons go from 14th to 13th, but I feel like generally they have more of a negative impact historically, especially if the team was successful before the change.

Galvin, even if there wasn't all the baggage surrounding his departure from the Tigers & even if the Bulldogs weren't travelling as well beforehand, was always going to be up against it.
